How can you retire early without being a slave to a job? My husband and I want to retire early sail on a boat the rest of our lives and really do not want to be slaves to any low paying jobs. We both have different skills. He can work on anything. I am creative and have alot of artistic skills, lots of generic talents, but nothing that has materialized into a useful career. What should I consider doing if this is our dream?
How do you pay your mortgage or rent when you retire? I am 28 in the UK. I haven't got a mortgage. When I am retired and living probably in private rented accommodation, who pays the rent? Or what about if you haven't finished paying off your mortgage but have to retire? I'm planning for my future! I am probably never going to have a mortgage. So how do I cope with the rent?
How much money do you need to retire on? I have no pension, but I own my own home with no mortgage. I also have quite alot of cash in the bank. If I get a financial advisor to invest this for income for me, with index linked investments (so that the capital goes up with inflation) and I want to retire on an income of, say, £15000 per year before tax in today's terms, how much cash do I need in the bank to generate this income, which would enable me to retire and live a life of leisure? I am 35 years old. Thanks
How much needed to retire down the road? I am currently 30, single with about 100K in savings/investments, no debt, no other assets. I currently make around 100k+/year with bonus, but I detest my job and would much rather start a modest business or switch to a career that would allow me more spare time. How much do you think I should have saved up to be on track to retire somewhat comfortably down the road?

How many people would know the fire-safety basics after 10-months? Problem Solving? The volunteer firefighters were frustrated with their efforts at basic fire prevention training. It seemed that no matter how many fire - safety meetings they set up, hardly anybody ever paid attention. They devised a plan. They decided that each of them (there were eight firefighters) would teach two other people the fire-safety basics. At that point, the teacher would retire but each student would then teach two others. Those people, in turn, would teach two others. The whole thing would be mandated by the city council, and each person would have a month to fulfill his or her teaching requirement. The firefighters taught the first group of people in the first month. Under this plan, how many people would know the fire-safety basics after 10 months?

Does anyone know how the transition is for wives of enlisted hubbies to officer? I was the daughter of a 33 year retired Army officer and then married my husband as an Air Force enlisted man. I was treated horribly as an enlisted wife by the Officers wives and I am scared to death to become one myself. My beautiful husband (whom I am deeply proud of) has been selected as an Army OCS candidate and I’m not so sure if I’m ready for this. I hated how officer wives treated people while I was growing up and though well educated myself and well versed in military life I was severely frowned upon by the officer wives during my husbands enlisted career. I guess what I’d love to know is what to expect?! Do I come in ready to volunteer and put myself out there or stay guarded and quiet? Ladies I have had some rough, discouraging, and exceedingly judgmental encounters… Please help.

What law is it that allows you to retire after 17 years in the military? I've seen people retire after 17 years due to things like PRT failures and they always say it's a law that you can't get kicked out unless you do something illegal once you hit 17. It makes sense to me because if the military could get away with it they would kick everyone out after 19 and 364 days to save money. Can someone please give me the law or instruction number? I can't find it anywhere.
When its time for me to retire, can i collect social security in addition to my 401k savings? The reason im asking is because, it would seem as though some how it would be considered "double dipping"...., I've got about 30 years until retirement, so im hoping that there are no surprises, for example being forced to choose between which one "retirement" egg to use. I just hope that the "forces that be" when the time comes for me to retire dont tell me that I cant have the money that i worked and earned a lifetime to accumulate.

How much money do you need to retire in India ? My spouse and I have been thru enough corporate mergers, offshoring and downsizing that we're tired of the personal turmoil that this comes with for our family. We've decided to call it quits and move back to India. We're both in the mid-forties and were just wondering what it wouild take to comfortably retire in India. Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore may be out of our reach considering the real estate price appreciation there. We wanted to get a feel for what the public perception is (preferably from those in India and those NRI's that have moved back there) for the kind of "nest egg" one needs to have a comfortable life which includes: a) decent education for our 2 children, 7 and 10. b) a home (3 br apartment in upper middle class neighborhood - 1500+ sqft) c) a vehicle c) Residual income to maintain monthly household expenses

What type of savings do I need to retire early? I'm currently saving in my 401k here at work, and by the time I retire in 35 years, I should have a sizable nestegg. I know all the cons to pulling out of that early, and want to avoid them. I'd like to start saving additionally for retirement, so I'd have the potential to retire early, but with no major drawbacks to pull on this money. What type of accounts should I get?

Do I have to pay social security taxes after I retire? Suppose I retire and start collecting Social Security benefits, but I also work part time and earn income. Ignoring any income taxes taken out of my pay, does Uncle Sam also still take social security tax from my wages even though I am now a beneficiary of the system? TIA I know the rules of how federal income tax is determined after retirement. What I want to know is will I still be paying into the social security fund even after I start collecting social security myself.
How long would it actually take a monkey to write the entire works of Shakespeare before he could retire? We always hear about how the hypothetical monkey would eventually do it given limitless time, but has anyone ever tried to calculate how long it would or might actually take? Is it even possible to hazard a guess? Any smart Yahoo answers maths 'top contributors' out there gonna try and figure this one out? Tony B - you shouldn't take my tongue-in-cheek question so seriously, and besides it would probably be in the order of a googleplex of googleplexes of years before retirement beckoned for our exhausted and immortal monkey.

What do you say to a co-worker that is not ready to retire? There is an elderly woman who is the office manager that has recently had a stroke, but of good mind. She has been with the company for years and has helped make the company grow bigger and stronger than ever. But now comes the time when the workload is to become lighter and her position has been replaced. She is NOT ready to retire and feels that she is being pushed out because she has had the stroke and is getting older. She now comes to work very distraught and heavy burdened and she cries silently. Although being told she has been a great asset to the company and has been put on a pedastal. She still feels as if she is being pushed out the door. WHAT CAN WE DO TO LIFT HER SPIRITS?
How did people retire through Bernie Madoff? Or, cash in their 401k? People who have retired on the money invested with Madoff must have been supporting people throughout the years. (Or else, his fraud would have been uncovered a long time ago). What if people wanted to cash in their 401k's? How did they do all this if the money wasn't really there?
Where would you want to retire? Let's hope our economy gets back to where it was so retirement can become an option again. Ideally, where would u want to retire? Australia would be amazing!
What would you like to do after you retire? I know it's a long way off for most of you but please give me some of your thoughts. I would spend my days sipping OJ, watching the world go by on my balcony. Watch the rush hour commutes from my balcony. I would also listen to my old time music from my huge iPod collection.(by the time I retire, it'll be old timer's music) Walk the beach during another part of the day, & then watch a sunset each day and then, watch the telly til I fall asleep. I live in Florida. And I intend on retiring here as well.

How much money should I retire with... ballpark? If I invest the amount now (150.00) per month for 30 years until I retire, factoring in the compounded interest, what could I expect in 30 years? I have my 401k set on aggresive now which isn't smart but I am 25 and I was told to invest aggresively and then more moderatley the older I get. With the market the way it is, should I pull my account back to investing moderate?
Is there any way to avoid taxes on a Roth IRA if you plan to retire early? I read somewhere that you can withdraw yearly equal amounts from the Roth without tax. Is that true and is that what they do so you can retire early? Ok, I must not have been too clear. I know exactly what a Roth Individual Retirement Arrangement IS, and how it works. What I'm wondering is if they have a provision for early retirement. I'm assuming they don't since I can't find information about it. I just with I could use this vehicle for investing for an early retirement.

Does it make financial sense to wait until 66 to retire? I've about 7 years before I'm 62 and have to be 66 before I can retire with a higher income from social security. I have a retirement income besides social security. Does it make financial sense to wait until 66 or should I retire at 62?
Do you have to be the legal retirement age to retire? If the retirement age is, say 65 (not sure if that's accurate, just throwing it out there), can I retire earlier than that? Am I penalized? Does it depend on years of service to determine if you can retire early? I'm just asking because a lot of people at my work are retiring and it doesn't seem like they are old enough to be the legal retirement age. Thanks.

Where is the best Latin American country for Americans to retire in? My parents are coming up on retirement and are thinking of a 2nd home in Latin America. Some place 1) safe 2) coastal and warm - but not crazy hot or grossly humid, and 3) with infrastructure such as hospitals, police, and transportation. I would love answers from true expats living in Latin America.
Which Legend will retire first? The Undertaker or Sting? We all know that Ric Flair will probably retire in a year or so, if not this year, but what we don't know is that which Legend or Pro Wrestling will be next. The two that come to mind are Sting (Steve Borden, age 47) and The Undertaker (Mark Calloway, age 41). They both have had illustrious careers and are already in the top 20 greatist of all time, but which do you think will retire first, because you got to think it won't be long now? Personally I think Sting will retire first because he is older, but that is really the only reason I can think of. I will be sad when both of them retire. Which do you think will retire first?
Could YOU retire in your 40s? A really good friend of mine retired at 42 basically through sheer hard work and frugal living. He has given me a great many tips which I find to be pretty decent advice from someone I admire so much. He says that most people who earn big bucks soothe their agony of having dull jobs by placating themseleves with the big house, fancy car, diamond ring etc etc etc. You know it was always the running joke with the guys that he was a "litlte big weird" as he never had girlfriends, but his words were why have women when I'm working to retire? it's only money and also I could end up having children. You know what amazes me now is that he's dating a lovely lady, he says it's because he's worked hard he can afford to date now that he's retired. The funny thing is that though he now drives a very expensive car, he still lives in a small house which he says is perfect for him. I'm so proud of Jason, great guy and I for one won't be retired and living the dream at 42!! What do you think?
Retire Aged Personnal Early. "rape"? As a result of the reduction of money budgeted for the Department areas, we are forced to cut our number of personnel. Under the new plan, older employees will be asked to accept early retirement, thus permitting the retention of younger people who represent our future plans. Therefore, a programme to phase out older personnel by the end of the current fiscal year, via retirement, will be placed in effect immediately. The programme will be known as R.A.P.E. (Retire Aged Personnel Early). Employees who are R.A.P.E.D. will be given the opportunity to look for other employment outside the company. Provided they are being R.A.P.E.D., they can request a review of the employment records before actual retirement takes place. This phase of the operation will be called S.C.R.E.W. (Survey of Capabilities of retired Early Workers). All employees who have been R.A.P.E.D. or S.C.R.E.W.E.D. may file an appeal with upper management. This will be called S.H.A.F.T. (Study by Higher Authority Following Termination). Under the terms of the new policies, employees may be R.A.P.E.D. once, S.C.R.E.W.E.D. twice, but may be S.H.A.F.T.E.D. as many times as the company deems appropriate. If any employee follows the above procedure, he or she will be entitled to get H.E.R.P.E.S. (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel's Early Severance). As H.E.R.P.E.S. is considered a benefit plan. any employee who has received H.E.R.P.E.S. will no longer be R.A.P.E.D. or S.C.R.E.W.E.D. by the company.
Retire In Costa Rica -- What are the pros & cons? We have heard many good things about retirement in Costa Rica and are thinking of checking it out for two years down the pike. We plan to visit this month and many moretimes before a final decision. I have only heard good things. But recently, I came across a forum that said like the the writer of the forum that many people retire to Costa Rica but after two years become disenchanted and return to the US poorer and wiser. The writer said she wished someone had told her about the large number of "failed" expats and the "two year" disenchantment due to boredom, insularity, lonliness and overall lack of anything stimulating after the initial first blush of excitement. Is there anyone who had retired there or knows someone who has retired there that help us understand more of the benefits and negatives and especially the cause of the "two year curse"

Should Eddie retire this year? Should Oklahoma State's head coach, Eddie Sutton, retire this year? Or do you think he'll wait and get the team in much better shape next year and then retire so he can give Sean a good team for his first year as head coach? We've got to get 800 before he can retire though, and if those boys don't get better I don't know what's going to happen.
will undertaker retire? From the lastest i have heard undertaker was supposed to retire at wm but after HHH got injured the wwe had to change there story lines. it looks like at the rumble Shawn M will win when originally taker was ment to win. so now rated RKO will blaim taker and kane for being eliminated and so the BoD will go to RAW to get the tag titles at no way out but i think taker will lose at wm but he doesnt retire. but i think dx could retire both taker and kane??
Fire or Retire - You are spending a day with Mr. McMahon, he told you to fire someone, who would it be? Fire or retire - You won a day with Mr. McMahon and you had a lot of fun and he thought about and seen you as a loyal WWE fan. So he would give the power to you to fire someone, or force someone to retire. WHO WOULD YOU FIRE, OR FORCE TO RETIRE?!?! Excuse my grammar. Yeah really, keep it reality over here, anyone BUT the McMahon family? Please give me a break. I would fire Cena maybe, or give him a lower status if Mr. McMahon allowed me to, and i would fire Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan because they are supposed to be in the old people's homes instead of the WWE. C0171, okay, WHO WOULD YOU REHIRE?
How do I retire in the Sims 2?? i want one of my sims to retire, she is elder. I clicked the phone and quit job, but she doesnt recieve cheks and on the job thing it doesnt say retired, it says unemployed. Why is this? and how does she retire?
Why retire? I can understand why people retire when they have the money to do so, but if you don't have the money, why retire? Why not just keep working until you do have the money instead of worrying about going broke after 65? I've heard that people who keep working actually live longer, healthier lives because they have a purpose in life which keeps driving them. I think I'd like to just keep working. What do you think?
Goal: Retire with $3-4 million!? I would like to retire in 30 years, without sharing my income, how much do I need to put away a month, and into what type of vehicles, to retire with $3-4 million. When baby-boomers retire who will pay the taxes, the middle-class? the wealthy will be retired? As 77 million members of the Baby Boom generation begin to retire, America is about to experience one of the most dramatic economic, sociological and demographic changes in its history. The institutions we have relied upon in the past are completely unprepared for what lies ahead. Politicians, the national news media and the general public have become increasingly aware that our federal entitlement programs are about to be swamped. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid have made trillions of dollars of explicit and implicit unfunded promises. In fact, by 2030 (about the midpoint of the baby boomers' retirement years), we will have to double every tax rate or cut every benefit in half. But our problems do not end there. Federal, state and local governments have made $5 trillion in promises (many of which are unfunded) to civil service workers. Corporate America owes about $450 billion in pension promises and $350 billion in post-retirement health care promises that are also unfunded. To make matters worse, the instruments we have created to help individuals save for their own retirement - principally through 401(k) accounts — are also not working well. In general, people are not saving enough, and they are not prudently investing the funds they do save. Behind our inadequate institutions are inadequate public policies. For example: * On balance, the tax law encourages current consumption, but discourages saving for consumption during retirement. * Even more important, the tax law encourages overconsumption of health care before retirement, but discourages saving for what are likely to be greater health needs later in life. * The American answer to the European-style welfare state has traditionally been employer-provided benefits. Yet: * Unwise public policies are encouraging large employers to abandon pension and post-retirement health care promises made to their employees. * Other policies are preventing employers from helping employees make their own provision for income and health care during the retirement years. * The policies that are most inadequate for the baby boomers' retirement years are those affecting early retirees. In general: * People who retire early will find that their opportunities to save are much more restricted than those available to people still in the workforce. * They will find that health insurance is not only more costly when purchased by individuals, but the insurance (unlike insurance obtained at work) must be purchased with after-tax dollars. * Once they begin drawing Social Security, they will discover that if they earn additional income, say by working part-time, they will face draconian effective tax rates - taking as much as two-thirds of what they earn. * And even if they don't work for wages, they will discover that the tax rates on their pension income and IRA withdrawals are much higher than the rates paid by younger taxpayers at the same income level.

Favre Retire? I have lived in Wisconsin for 7 years now and over the past 4 NFL seasons there has been the up and down debate on weather or not Favre should, is or will retire. I know that he is a living legend in football and has indefinately left his mark on this sport and I think the NFL comentators love talking about him every game then commentating on the game itself. Should he do what Seinfeld did and retire while on top, (If the Packer's make it to the Superbowl), or continue onto further seasons, not knowing what the outcome might be? Your thoughts.
Players retire too quickly for Madden 2008 for PS2!!!?? I was wondering if there is a way you can go through a franchise on Madden 2008 without Brett Favre and a lot of other great players retiring after the first season? I'm using Madden on PS2. Will America retire gracefully from being the worlds greatest power? At some point in the 21st Century, it is likely that America will cease to be the world's main power. Some estimates put this time in as short a time as 40 years. No one occupies the top spot indefinately. Chiefly because the world changes and those at the top are usually the most resistant to change with them feeling themselves secure. So how will America retire? The Romans found their cities left in ruin, the british suffered uprisings in several colonies before disbanding its Empire relatively peacefully (though in some instances a little too hastily -eg in drawing up the borders for India and Pakistan), Russia who vied for decades for the top spot ended up in total economic collapse and so on and so forth. Most countries that have occupied the top spot haven't retired gracefully or peacefully, so how will America decide to meet its face?
how people retire at age of 35? I seen people at age 35 stopped working and they retired and they still getting weekly payment, how come? if I'm 35 and completed # of credits, can I retire?
Should i retire from yahoo answers? When bcogayrag4, or whatever his name was asked that question bout me, i decided to retire, and my so called "fans" agreed with him, so should i retire? why did half of these people block me? like LAX
Should I retire? A Christmas present for all my long suffering 'victims'. I have been seriously considering retiring the Romanis brand and start from scratch. Having attained level 7, I don't see any point in continuing. So should I retire and start anew with another identity? Moreover with my sudden increased workload, it does look that I would no longer have the time to offer my advise (whether asked or otherwise) on matters. In my new identity, rest assured I will come here less. Your views? May the Peace of Christ be with You, for all who celebrate Christmas. And Let the Glory of God be feted throughout the world. For those of other faiths, May the holiday season and New Year, be one of untold joy, good health and prosperity. Oh boy, this is turning out to be another session of flattery.

When you retire, where would you like to live and why? I have 26 years into my career and plan on retiring in ~20 years. If I can decide on where I would like to retire I may be able to transfer within the company to a location suited for my retirement. Thanks for your help.
To everyone who thinks Favre should Retire...? Do you think Jeff Garcia and Trent Green should retire too? they are older and arn't nearly as talanted as Favre is yet people never say that they should retire. hell Green got traded and Garcia was a Free agent and they never retired. Favre still is under contract and you expect him to retire before Garcia or Green?
Should I retire her...? To all horse owners. I have owned my horse for the past 11yrs, the past year I have not ridden my horse due to her old age and navicular problem (she is in her 30's). My question to you is, should I retire her on a farm in IA where she would get out all day long, but I would not get to see her very often (a friend of mine owns it), or keep her at the stable that she is at now (costs 400.00 per month w/ 3 days a week turnout; appox. 30mins of time to play, and see her almost everyday. My delemia is this: the farm in IA would cost half the price and turnout all day, but no way of seeing her all the time, or keep here where she is at now paying 400.00 per month with less turnout. My horse is a people person and I am afraid if I did retire her out there she would become depressed (yes this has happened before), or keep her locked up all the time in a stall. What would you do if you had a older horse that you wanted to see live out its days happy?
Do you think Ric Flair "Nature Boy" should retire? He has been in the WWE for a long time and I think he should retire! He is 59 years old. Most "old people" have retired by that time. I know he is a legend but you got to admit, sometime from now till' 2009 he has to retire. I have never heard of a 59 year old still wrestling. He does have mustles and a six pack under that layer of skin but I'm not trying to critize someone from my own state that is only one hour away from where I live, it's just well... I don't quite know. I'll say it again he is a big legend but he's been wrestling for 30 some years in all diffrent leagues. But he will be in the Hall of Fame but does that meen he will retire or not? I think he should retire by at least, at least 65. He's been through a lot but hasn't gave up in a long time he is always pumped and ready to go. But what do you think? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Did the Rock really retire from wrestling? Did the Rock really retire from wrestling or is he on hiatus to do movies? I can't find any articles on the Internet where it says he has retired. The only place that says he retired is on Wikipedia and that's not a reliable source.
Which Webkinz will retire next??? I want to get another webkinz but i wanna get one that is gonna retire soon do you have any ideas?Plus my hallmark has some well two webkinz that say WEBKINZ MONKEY RETIRE
Retire or continue to wrestle? Should wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Rick Flair retire, or do you think they should they continue to wrestle? Give me good reasoning and examples and I'll give you the "best answer" for this question!
My grandfather, at 45, was able to retire...what age do you intend to retire? Grandpa, with an 8th grade education, partnered in a mechanical engineering business and was able to retire at 45 yrs old. He was 40 years retired and died at age 85. My outlook is the opposite. I have a 2 yr college degree, am back to only earning enough to survive, and expect to be forced into retirement by my employer because I will never be able to AFFORD to retire. So, where are you in your life? Just starting out with the "world as your oyster", middle aged plugging along, or on the retirement rollar coaster? Did you ever see life would be this way, or have you been able to plan well all along. My hat's off to those who have done well. I'd like to hear some good stories, for a change. Make me feel better. Thanks! 071007 8:50
Why do players retire so young? Most players retire before they hit 40. Why do they retire so young? I dont think 45 is that old. But I do know by 35 the average human starts to break down Muscle Mass.
Working for a living....will you be able to retire? If you are in your 20's then this question could seem like a million miles away....but are making plans for your future so that you will be able to retire in your 60's or earlier? If you are in your 40's to 50's...you see it as a road ahead of you...what are your plans? Will you be spending money on getting your children in college? Will you still have home payments when you are in your early 60's? What do you see yourself doing for income? Will you work part-time? How do you see retirement?
50 Cent will retire? Reports have said that 50 cent would retire if Kanye West outsells him in albums. Well this year, Kanye's "Graduation" album easy ousold 50 Cent's "Curtis" album. Do you think he will retire?
How much is enough to retire? Is a million dollars actually a lot of money? How much is enough to retire? I want to know what most people think is enough...How much is enough for a full life for 12 vacations ayear around the world. For yachts,Bentlys, houses on the coast..etc etc.. How much is truly enough? Will 10million do it? I want to retire at 25 with 10 million but dont know if I can live that lifestyle or do I need more. Of course when I say retire I will still have mutual funds and stocks always going uuupp....Investments Investments How much is enough for a average person? How much is the average of what an average male in the usa retires with? I am 21 now and I want to live it up? I also give a lot to charity. www.savedarfur.org
Retire with $15K a month!? I'm hoping to retire with $15K a month, and I am now 31, making between $150K-$200K a year. How can I achieve my goal? and how soon? Thanks
Should Venus Williams retire after 2008? I think after Venus' loss, 3-6, 3-6 to Cibulkova in Doha, I think she should consider retiring after this year, because since her alleged stomach pull injury back in 2003, she has never been the same player. Her serve has been off, and like Serena, she makes so many unnecessary unforced errors, that's it's painful watching her play. I think she has accomplished as much as she's ever going to. I honestly don't see Venus winning any more major events or slams. She's gotten older, and it's obvious that a long time ago, she lost confidence in herself and probably will never get it back. As much as I've enjoyed watching her play, it's just not fun watching her spray errors all over the court or make injury excuses. I think it's time for Venus to retire after 2008. I can only imagine what more she could've accomplished, had she not suffered the injury or lost in 4 straight slam finals to her sister.
How can I convince my husband to stop making "post" child support/college payments to his ex wife? ***Please read all details~~very important*** My husband's retired army, 21 yrs, and was married while in the service, to his ex, for a little over ten of those served years. She met someone else and left him. She waived her ex-spousal rights to his reirement and it's indicated in the divorce decree. This was a trade-off as my husband stood to inherit half of her father's assets. It's also important to note that they have three kids and off of his E5 salary, paid 1200/mo. The third child just turned 18 this Feb and my husband is continuing to send the same amount of $350/mo for all four years of college as he's done with the other two.***FFD to the present*** His ex calls him the other day telling him that she called DFAS to set up direct deposit for this purpose. However, during this process the system somehow managed to kick in twice the amount, making it $700, rather than the original $350, ***Continue with story in ADDITIONS segment below*** set to be withdrawn from his retirement account beginning Apr 1st. She conveyed, according to my husband, that all she needed was his SSN, name and account number for this process to take place. It's anyone's guess why the system kicked the amount to double. I am curious to know how she did this without going through a lengthier process? All she needed to do was speak to a clerk and the amount was changed without my husband being aware. I thought that the retiree and only the retiree had access and needs a password for this, never mind having the process take more time than just a few clicks from a computer key board. I am also curious to find out why she has authority over their 18-yr-old's funds when child support was definite at ending on his 18th birthday? Shouldn't HE be getting the funds, himself? After all, Momma lives with her BF in another state while the 18-yr-old lives with ex-hubby #2. What's wrong with this picture? I need an explanation from a professional. Tina, ABC and Jax~~I don't believe you've read everything. She's waived all of her rights to ex-spousal retirement. If you've never been in the military and do not know what this means, then I suggest you voice your concerns elsewhere. BTW: The reason I married my husband is because he takes such great financial care of his kids. This was never the issue with me. Next time read and understand what is in front of you or move to the next segment. Thanks.
Will Jaromir Jagr retire as a penguin? If he does, I would find that a bit odd. He left on bad terms with the city and its fans. do the fans what him to retire as a pen? will they enjoy seeing his banner being raised to the top of the new arena once he retires? I think all of these questions are something that he needs to consider. Question is for everybody but it would make it more interesting to hear what penguins fans have to say to this.

Charity~~That "trade-off" struck me as a bit bizarre, as well. At any rate, she's waived all of her rights to his retirement~~indicated on the divorce decree. ***Please, read the details portion*** Justagrandma~~I think the bottom line is that a portion of my husband's retirement is going to a spend-thrift who's lied and cheated for years> She makes 120K, my husband makes only 10K (he bartends). She has control for the next four years. Shouldn't those funds go directly to the 18yr old? Other than that, I am proud of my husband for living up to his responsibilities as a father. He always has. Thanks. Justagrandma~~From what I understand, the ex-spouse and current haven't ANY rights to the retiree's retirement account. Setting up direct deposit is not the issue and I was speaking of her account #, not his, although she could've had his account #. She opened my husband's lawyer's mail in his office during their divorce process, so, I don't put anything past her. Thanks, again. Charity~~I am not sure if the same clause applies to military retirement benefits. My husband's not the approachable kind to ask, either. I need to know what to do on MY END to alleviate any discomfort of his ex-wife receiving a portion of his retirement for the next four years when she's not legally entitled to it. My husband doesn't financially support me, I support myself, but she gets his money? There's something wrong with this picture.
Anyone else agree that Ric Flair should retire a monster heel ? How would you feel if Ric Flair turned heel at WrestleMania by playing the role he plays best, " The dirtiest player in the game" by cheating his way to victory. Anyone else agree that Ric Flair should retire a heel, weather its at WrestleMania or a later ppv. ? How would you turn the crowd against him, since it would be a difficult task in my opinion ? Flair is synonymous with the word heel, he personified the word heel in the 80s, and those that are long time Ric Flair fans would understand where im coming from with my persistance on him turning heel one last time.
Is BCCI Luring players to join IPL and to retire early? Alot of people have been retiring lately... i can recall 3 right now... Gilly, Pollock and now, Fleming and surprisingly all 3 of them are going to be joining IPL. Full list here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Premier_League And i just read a cricinfo article, where Ponting is worried that the lure is going to lead to many players retiring early to play in the IPL as IPL is not in ICC's schedule, so players have to choose between IPL or ICC's cricket matches.. What are ur thoughts on this? http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ipl/content/current/story/336628.html GOOD NEWS.... MY FAVORITE PLAYER MD. KAIF HAS BEEN IN BY IPL!!! HAS BEEN ROPED IN BY IPL**** (i need to proofread)
What is better, retire from military at age 38 or retire as a civilian at age 60+? If I retire at age 38, I'll be getting roughly $3500 a month, tax free for the rest of my life if I stay military. If I get out, I have a chance of getting an almost 6 figure income, but will not have that military pension to fall back on, and will not have retirement pay until around age 65. Which would be better, stay military and get that pension, or get out and get a 6 figure income?
should joe torre retire after this year? he has done it all in his career.? at his age, and the fact that steinbrenner is never satisified not winning the world series, should he slow down retire, and become a broadcaster part time? i am yankee fan, but am realsitic and cannot see the yankees winning the series this year with the lousy pitching they have! and who needs the jerk steinbrenner to keep whining? torre has 4 titles and 7 appearances! time to retire i think! yankkes won't win the series for several more years!
How can one retire with 15 million dollars? What is the most one can accumalate reasonable from savings and smart investing, if one was smart enough with their money and investments is it feasible for one to retire at 67 with 15 million dollars? What are the basic for achieving this? Details the person started when they were 25. They would make about 100k a year starting from say age 30. From age 25-29 they would have no dependents no debt, and average about 65 They would max our their IRA's. And invest approx 35% of their income from age 25-29, and revert about 20% once they get kids and hit 30 years old.
When will undertaker retire? dont want him to retire because hes the greatest legend of all time but ive heard alot of rumors saying that hes goin to retire at WM23
Did Mick Foley retire? I watched a documentary about wrestlers. One guy, Mick Foley, had a bout called "I quit" against some guy called "The Rock". His wife and kids watched and it scared his little daughter. The documentary finished, but I wasn't sure if he retired. Did he do the right thing by his Family and retire? If only for his daughter.

Should NHL teams retire numbers of deceased average players? Before I go any further: I'm not a cold hearted person by any means. I do not kick my dog, beat my cat, or hit women. Heck, I rarely swear (unless it's during Penguins games)! With that out of the way, this question came to mind when I was going through some trading cards this afternoon. I came across a Fleer Throwbacks card of Bob Gasoff, who played with the St. Louis Blues back in the mid-1970s. Gasoff was killed in a motorcycle accident with a handful of games left to play during the 1975-76 season. The following season #3 was rasied to the rafters at the Kiel Center/Checkerdome. Earlier, Michel Briere was a promising player for the Penguins who was fatally injured in a car crash back in the early 1970s. The Penguins subsequently retired his #21. The question I have is this: should a NHL team retire a number for a player who died, yet was fairly average? Or should they go the route of the Carolina Hurricanes and wear a patch of said player's number a la Steve Chaisson? PuckDat- Keep in mind that while Clemente was the heart and soul of the Pirates (not to mention my favorite old-time baseball player after Jackie Robinson and Henry Aaron), he also put up the numbers and fan adoration to warrant number retirement had he been given the chance to retire himself. Fate is a mother...
Did Randall Cunningham retire as a Philadelphia Eagle? I know his last games were spent as a Raven, but did he sign a one day contract to the Eagles to retire as an Eagle? In other words, did Cunningham do what Emmitt Smith did to retire as a Cowboy? Thank you in advance.
Will Australia become weaker if major players retire? Many batsmen of Australia are in mid 30's or approaching late 30's, like Tendulkar of India and so I think retirement should not be very far away for them. Symonds, Gilchrist, Ponting, Breet Lee, Hayden etc etc are around mid 30's in age. So when such solid batsmen retire from Australian squad, would Australian team become weaker? I have noticed other teams become weaker when their major batsmen retired. Like for example I noticed that when Saeed Anwar of Pak (who has largest one day score) retired, the opening batsmen after his retirement could not quite deliver to the same degree as Anwar used to, and they lacked the kind of skill and score that Anwar used to put. Will India get weaker too, when Tendulkar and Ganguly retire?
How to become a millionaire by the age of 30? I need to know. I am almost there. I want to retire by 30, with the least investment capitals for the most gain. I also need something risk free with high return. Please advise. Thanks.
Do you really want to see the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair retire? The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair has been in professional wrestling for four decades. It is a living miracle he has even been a professional wrestler. In 1972 he was in a plane crash and was told by doctors he would never wrestle again. However, here we are in 2007 and the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is still on the W.W.E. roster. The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair has been World Heavyweight Champion 16 times-more then any other professional wrestler in history. The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair can wrestle a short match and make it look good, he can wrestle an hour or more and make it look good. The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair can play the "bad guy" to the extreme, he can play the "good guy" to the extreme. The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair has seen many big name wrestlers come and go and is still donning the wrestling gear and boots. The major question is Ric Flair too old and should give it up or should the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair keep "styling and profiling"?
If you could retire right now? If you could retire right now, not have to worry about money, where would you retire. I would find a beach and open a beach bar, it would be called "the place to be"! What would you do???
Retire in Thailand? Is it economically advisable for an American to retire in Thailand? What are Immigration requirements (i.e., how long am I allowed to stay on a tourist visa)? Are apartments or condo's reasonably priced near the ocean, etc.?
Big players should retire with big clubs, do u agree? Just like Zidane retired with Real Madrid, Shearer with Newcastle etc..... Figo hopefully with retire with Inter... i hate it when big players go to the Middle-east or the USA or somewhere else just for the money..... do u agree with this?
did michael jordan retire because...? i respect michael jordan and all but did he retire because he didnt' want his career points per game average to drop since he was starting to age? most of his ppg averages were high 20s and low to mid 30s, and his last season, he averaged like 20ppg. and if he kept playing it might have went lower, so is that why he retired?
did green day retire? because I've been hearing rumors about it and on trl, I think I saw the hosts give green day a plaque for retiring did they really retire?

Should the music industry retire certain songs? It is my opinion that it is a huge disgrace to let female pop singers or punk bands (or anyone in that matter) to cover truly classic songs. I believe that the music industry should retire Songs so that no one can ever remake them and keep them in thier original format to truly make them classic. Tell me what song you think should be retired so no one else can ruin it ever?
