My mother wants to start working but she is also getting surviors benefits since this MAY 2007. I read on the sociacl security website that they will deduct some of the benefits if she earns more than $12,960. I have a few questions about this. 1) Does this 12,960 income limit include what she is currently getting for the surviors benefits? 2) She was working prior to getting the surviors benefits this year in 2007, so does this income limit include what she has already made prior to getting the benefits this MAY 2007? 3) If they do indeed deduct her benefits if she exceeds the limit, is it true that once she reaches full retirement age that she will get back what is witheld? 4) Is it true that once she reaches full retirement age that there is no limit as to her income and still be able to receive full benefits with nothing held back? 5) What exactly is "Full retirement age?" Thank you. I could call Social Security but I can never get through to them
