Why are so many AMERICANS taking their pensions over-seas??

- First, pensions are becoming a thing of the past. Fewer and few companies are providing a pension benefit for employees. The ones that have them, generally, are not sending them overseas. ///

- I suppose you mean why are so many Americans retiring overseas? In a lot of countries your income from the US will go a lot further than in the US. You can live a lot cheaper and more luxurious in some exotic locales than you could in a comparable place in the US. And by the way, you'd still have to pay American taxes on the income as long as you are a US citizen.
