Should I buy an MP3 or IPOD or save my money?
I've never owned either and the guy at Staples today was clueless. What ever gets the most votes - that's what I'm buying....(or not buying). Any suggestions on GB, style, brand would be greatly appreciated. I want something simple to download songs onto (I'm not a big movie guy) or put songs onto from my own personal music collection.

- Save your money and ask Santa Clause for an Ipod 60GB with video
- depends on waht you want
- I own a Rio MP3 and very happy with it. Get atleast a 20 gig. You'll be glad that you did.
- It's just money, you can't take it with you. If you get something get an iPod. The sound quality of an iPod blows away mp3s. I like the iPod video because I can put pictures on there, but 30g? I put every CD I can think of and didn't even fill 1/10th of the memory.
- Save your money. It's just an over-rated way to listen to music. But, then again, I'm 30 and considered a dinosaur by these kids and their music.
- There's about 40 makers with their various models. You have to decide if you want the mp3 to show text so you can see the song. You need to know if you want 30 songs or 200. You can get an ipod shuffle for about $75. I went to amazon.com and they have a great variety with $12 up to $200. You can read about which one meets your needs. I bought one and sent it back because the sound was poor. You can get a refurbished one or a used one if you want to save your dollars. Best of luck to you in getting something that works well for you!
- Didn't you say you're a grad student? Save your money
