To everyone who thinks Favre should Retire...?
Do you think Jeff Garcia and Trent Green should retire too? they are older and arn't nearly as talanted as Favre is yet people never say that they should retire. hell Green got traded and Garcia was a Free agent and they never retired. Favre still is under contract and you expect him to retire before Garcia or Green?

- Good Point. You probably shouldn't of said Garcia, since he did the Eagles a miracle last year.
- Yes Farve should retire after this season Jeff Garcia has a few years left if used as a backup I see Trent Green out of the league in two years
- Brett Favre is in my opinion one of the greatest quarterbacks to touch a pigskin... overall top 5 in NFL history to be honest with ya. Everyone is so fickle when it comes to Brett Favre, 4 years ago when he had an offensive line that could actually protect him, and he had more than 1 reliable receiver that was a consistent threat everyone was on his jock talking about how great he is. Now that Green Bay has just fallen apart and is in a rebuilding process, Brett Favre takes all the blame because really, he is the only player on that team that is worth a damn and has game changing talent. Had Green Bay not started its own downfall by not matching the deal for Mike Wahle (2004), Marco Rivera (2004), and Mike Flanagan (2005), that alone would give Favre at least 3 more good years.
- That old codger should have retired 2 years ago... he's washed up, ineffective, and the rest of his team sucks too. He's the NFL career interceptions leader because he can't make good throwing decisions and takes stupid chances. He's becoming so senile he actually WANTED the poop packers to trade for Randy Moss!
- Trent Green and Jeff Garcia are FAR from what I would consider anywhere CLOSE to being in the same category as Brett Favre. Therefore their careers never came close to Brett Favre's at the peak of his. Whether they stick around or retire, few will care. What I don't want to see happen to Brett is what happened to Jerry Rice and Joe Montana. Sticking around longer than they should. They will be remembered as 49ers, but retired for teams they never made a difference on. I am happy that Brett started a Packer and will finish a Packer. But he'll never win another super bowl. So why continue to stick around and hurt his team? I hope after this year and after he breaks all of Marino's records, he'll do the right thing. Better to burn out than fade out if you're Brett Favre!
- I think Brett Favre is the most over-rated qb to ever walk out on grass. I hate watching GB games that Madden covers. They way he gushes over Fav-Ray is sickening. Instead of having class and just making a decision and sticking to it, Fav-Ray has to create a media circus by playing this little game where, in about week 13 or 14 of the season he says he might retire, and then hints through the media after the season that he has made up his mind, and then changes it later, and then eludes that he might retire after all, and then says he'd consider playing for another team if they were competitive (because the GB sure isn't!). Geeesh, make up your mind already and do the league, your team, and your family a favor and just retire already!
- Favre shouldn't retire....he's still a really good QB...I'd take him over a lot of others in the league still, and until that's not true...he can still play. Trent Green however..should retire..If you have a concussion like that and you are already up there in age, I would worry about his health now...As far as playing ability, he's fine...but another blow to the head could mess that guy up for a long time....
- Everyone should want Favre to hang around as long as possible because he IS the NFL! We will never see another like him folks. He is the greatest! he may not be quite as good as he once was, but that was better than anyone ever! If he was on a good team he would still start in the pro-bowl.
- The difference is brett is a gunslinger he depends on his arm rather than his mind where the other 2 its the opposite. 2nd im a bears fan and as long as the pakers are a 500 team brett can play till hes 100 because we are going to be over 500 for years to come
- Farve has developed "HAPPY FEET" over time... He does not make good decisions, and he throws WAY TOO MANY PICKS!! He definitely SHOULD retire.... Besides that,we are all tired of hearing this question( EVERY SEASON)
- Favre need to retire, and Green Bay need to turnover a new leaf.
