Did the Rock really retire from wrestling?
Did the Rock really retire from wrestling or is he on hiatus to do movies? I can't find any articles on the Internet where it says he has retired. The only place that says he retired is on Wikipedia and that's not a reliable source.

- The Rock did retire from full time wrestling. He can and will be back for brief stints in the ring but I don't see him being back for a full time wrestling gig.
- Uh yea because he decided to make movies instead. Go to www.obssedwithwrestling.com and go under " Past wrestlers " and find The Rock and read his profile and see what they have to say.
- The Rock is the reason Vince started WWE films, so that if anymore of his talent wanted to branch out into film, he would not only profit from it, but also be able to guarantee that they would return to the ring. Once Dwayne Johnson found out that people wanted him to act, combined with the fact that films pay better and don't involve so much travel and physical demand, he chained over completely.
- Well he never signed a new contract when the last one expired.It's been that long since he was in WWE.He makes movies, gets paid better money & doesn't have to get kicked about or get injured each week.So at a guess The Rock is unofficially retired.

- I think he did retire. I bought the February 2007 WWE magazine, with John Cena and two dog's on the cover. If you open the magazine, to page 50, you'll see a recent picture of The Rock, wearing a shirt that say's "How Long's It Been"...... It sounds like a clue to me.
