retirement oz

Who thinks Stern and his Cronies should retire?

They all make stupid decisions and he's old as dirt and cannot relate to the player anymore. They should get a younger, savvy commisioner and Stern should leave. What y'all think?

  1. I have hoped that by whatever way, David Stern would leave the NBA. Just about every time he opens his mouth, makes a decision or a change, I wish this a little harder. This has been true for me for about nine or ten years. "Hey, let's make money for NBA Properties by forcing this horsecrap synthetic ball down the players' throats." He also looks and sounds like a homo, which is beside the point.
  2. I agree its time for a change he's already made so many mistakes that spoil the game...eg. suspending diaw and amare
  3. Like it or not, the NBA is a business, not a political organization. Stern has done a great job of marketing a dominately black league (as far as what you see on TV), to an audience that is 87% non-black. The purpose of the NBA is not to make its employees happy, but to sell tickets, t-shirts, pay-per-view events, and tv contracts, and he does a great job at that. He was only enforcing a rule against Amare. It was wrong, but he can't change the rule after the fact. Just like he couldn't punish someone for dressing like a hoodlum before the dress code was put into effect.
