retirement oz

Who are some musicians that you think should retire?

(This question was inspired by Jani Lane, I think he needs to turn in his leather pants and call it a day...) Les Douze ... I know your pain!

Public Comments

  1. The Eagles... and Phil Collins!
  2. The Rolling Stones and Twisted Sister.
  3. Ozzy Osbourne. No doubt about it. And he should've done it a long time ago.
  4. The Jani visual...ewww! I think most of those 80's hair bands that are still touring need to give it up.
  5. All Rappers and Emo bands
  6. The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Aerosmith, Ozzy...that's about it. Is KISS still out there? If so, them too.
  7. *sigh* Al Jourgensen Ministry was great back in the day, when it was still fresh and innovative and not so metalish I will just listen to "attack ships on fire" by Revolting Cocks over and over to kill the pain of seeing Al these days
  8. I love them but, The Rolling Stones No Bill Wyman, No Charlie Watts? That's not The Stones. They should call it The Mick & Keef Band, or else just retire with some dignity.
  9. Add my vote for Ozzy. Metallica and Judas Priest. Manowar should probably consider retiring too, but I'd like to keep them around a little longer... they entertain me.
  10. Madonna Bruce Springsteen Sting
  11. I don't know if they should retire. Maybe just get ahold of their ego's and realize they are relegated to playing not the Wembly type Stadiums where they can charge a ridiculous amount of money, but more so the Popeye's Chicken grand opening, or the pre-teen maternity parade. I think it's OK to want to rock forever, but when you get hip surgery, I think that's pretty much game, set, match
  12. Ozzy Osbourne Blondie Elton John Barry Manolo Michael Jackson Alice Cooper
  13. The Eagles The Rolling Stones Brett Michaels David Lee Roth Ozzy Saturn - You're about to get your wish, Al has said the next Ministry album will be his last. I was VERY disappointed by the last Rev Co album. Reminded me of The Smashing Pumpkins where you use the old band name but kick out the rest of the actual band that made the name what it was. Jani Lane was such a jerk on that show Celebrity Fit Club. It's a rough fashion statement but at least get your sorry ass in shape if you plan on dressing the part.
  14. Rod Stewart, (stop it! now!!), Alice Bloody Cooper, Cher (no-one looks dignified the wrong side of 60 in THOSE clothes), Michael Shenker (a shadow of his former self), The Eagles (new album...just awful),Michael Jackson (explanation not needed),and last but not least ANY band that continues to tour and promote themselves with only one original member or the pivitol member having passed away E.g, Queen, god, Paul Rogers i love you but you are not Freddie. It's s not right ..and none of you need the money.
  15. the rolling stones they're really gross now.
  16. Well, let me start off by saying that I did not anonymously give a thumbs down to Sookie :-) A lot of the 80s metal bands are still making some decent music, granted not all, but a lot. On that note, Ozzy should have called it a day many moons ago. NP: "Sweet Jesus" - Pride & Glory
  17. The Rolling Stones Kiss Ozzy
  18. rolling stones definetly
  19. Billy Corgan.
  20. I know I'm not the first to say them, but The Rolling Stones really need to just give it up already!
  21. OZZY KISS
  22. ok i hate to sound cliche here but definatly Metallica cause there music gets worse and worse each album. Another one is Korn cause they just lost their touch cause, like Metallica, their stuff gets worse and worse. And than i think GreenDay just needs to disappear cause they are just sounding more and more like crap each and every song.
  23. keep ozzy , lose ronnie james dio-- re:black sabbath tour-i cant take a 60 something year old guy with long balding hair playing metal seriously
  24. Ozzy, The Rolling Stones, Queen-Paul Rodgers is not Freddie Mercury and should not try to be! If you tour with a new lead singer you should call yourself a tribute band! Some voices cannot and should not be changed!
  25. This might be a little out there for the people on this site, but: The Temptations. When 4/5ths of your original members are dead longer than they were ever in the band and the one original member is alive and stomping a mudhole in the band's legacy, it's time to retire. If the current group were put in a lineup you probably couldn't pick the original member out anyways, but it's time to put that horse out to pasture.
  26. Poison Motley Crue Axl Rose........unless the original GnR lineup reunites The Who........when 1/2 of your original lineup is dead, I think its time Aerosmith The Rolling Stones The Police
