At what age you want to retire? How do you plan to achieve that?

1. i want to be an author and i never want to retire

5. As soon as possible. Saving money. Trying to make smart investments. Can hardly stand waiting. My husband is already retired. He was able to retire at age 49.... the lucky dog!!!!! I'm envious, but delighted he was able to do so.

Vicky the trick is to find a 'job' that can become a vocation so as not to be 'work'. u'll get paid more and have more fun with out 'work'. may i suggest a reading of '48 days to work u love' d.miller . a good book for going forward and plenty of fresh reference material. the other one is 'total money make over' d.ramsey helps our folks retain their cash. spending less and getting more value from their paychecks. our associates have a mandatory read of the books. retired 15 yrs ago
7. I plan on never retiring completely but should that time come I have my money invested in a 401k putting $150 in a month plus an HSA account that I put money in along with a saving plan and advanced debt pay off plan. I am earning a master degree and work in the tech industry so I know my earning will increase easily over time and I will properly allocate my money as I earn more. To protect my assets I have insurance including Life insurance should something happen. Something else I am looking at purchasing soon is Long Term Care to protect myself and my family.
8. I have stock from two past employers, a 401K being invested in aggressive mutual funds, and a smaller plain old savings account. I leave the stock alone, and as soon as the mutual fund reaches a certain point I will transfer it to a high yield CD. Same for my regular savings. Once I transfer my regular savings I will start that account over again. I hope to retire by 55. 26 more years to go.
