When you retire from the Military when do yo get your last paycheck?

Say you retire September 1st when will you get your final paycheck which is currently being held to figure out if you owe them anything PLEASE only answer if you are retired military and know what you are talking about i know you get a retirement check DUH im talking about the last active duty pay check Please if you aren't retired and don't know what you're talking about then don't bother answering this just for 2 points jenna my husband is about to retire from the Army trust me i know all about Pay i just am not familiar with retirement yet i know he's getting a retirement check every month i already stated that do you guys read before answering??

1. If you retire, you should get check for rest of you life. They have to give you all pay within 60 days after termination rayray active usn
2. You should get your final check the same time you always get you're monthly pay. I've been retired 12 years and don't remember anything different. Sorry but I could be wrong. Just call the finance center and ask.
3. if you retiered with 15 yrs. or more than you will continue to recieve checks the rest of your life in increments you decided on before retirment i.e. the 1st and 15th or just once a month on the 1st . the same goe if you retired with 20 or more. If you e.t.s'd thats another story. your pay is held up to 30 days to ensure you dont owe the military anything from your service time i.e. loans given during service. balance on military issued credit card etc. normally waiting time on e.t.s. check is 15-30 days . 4. I retired 1 may 06. My last full paycheck was received on that date. Since then, I have received my once a month pay on time, each getting to me on the first day of each month. If you plan on taking terminal leave, you will get a compensation for what is owed to you within 5 days after your leave starts. Take heed though, you must complete any action wtih finance 90 days prior to your retirement date. Otherwise, you stand the chance of not getting your first retirement check up to 90 days after your retirement. Good luck, and hey, retirements not the end...its a better beginning.
5. You get military pension....it just keeps coming... If you have served in the military for 20 years and are retiring then your pension starts the day you retire....your paychecks just keep coming but in the amount of your pension... Im not retired military but my husband is in the military and I know about these things..:)
