where are the best towns for a soldier to retire to in Arizona?
I am retiring in 3 years from a career in the military. I really like the Arizona climate and local. I would like to buy a home and settle down there. Where are the best homes affordable to a military retirement ($3000.00 per month)?

- Prescott is a very nice town, not too hot, but somewhat touristy. Flagstaff has its good points, including an interesting history museum and the Lowell Observatory. There's a huge and quite wonderful used bookstore there, the name of which I have managed to forget. Williams is fun, and is the terminus of the Grand Canyon Railroad. The Mountain Man Rondezvous takes place there. I would stick to the northern end, if I were you, because you will learn the meaning of HOT the further south you go.
