- I am close to a senior citizen of retirement age, and I am going to stay where I'm at. The weather is a big factor, it is really nice here in the Winter. (Arizona)
- I am almost 60 and mom is 80 so I want to stay pretty near here. Her mom died last year at 98 and was too far away for mom to take care of so I see I don't want to be long distance. She is suburban I want rural but not to far out just to far for commuters.
- I'd like to have a nice little farm house on a few acres. It's been a dream of mine for a long time. In grade school when we had to write a story about what we wanted to be when we grow up, I wanted to be a cowgirl-I'm still hoping. lol
- At the rate things are going, I seriously doubt that future generations will be able to retire. Peace, goldwing
- I'd like to stay where I'm at, in a rural area. That's where I grew up and my family and friends are. I don't think I'd make a very good city slicker.
- ,Right here SC-suburban Love it, everything about it, weather, people, cost of living the beauty and the history of the city
- I would like a small house on a hill overlooking a beach. I love the sound of the waves, and you can see either, the sunsets or the sun come up over the water. Walk the dog on the beach. Sit on the rocks and just watch the changing sea. And I love swimming.
- I'm torn between the Florida coast where I can get a little exercise and sun, or a North Carolina mountain log cabin where I can do some off roadin' in the mountains. I still have a ger years before I have to make the final decision.
- I live in a suburban area, near the water. In five minutes I can walk to the shops, the library, the movies, and the beach. Opposite my apartment block is a creek full of all kinds of ducks and wild birds - people have picnics there and feed the birds. Our area has good access for wheelchairs, so old age is not a barrier for living here. (All disabilities are catered for - we even have a special playground for disabled kids. Our local council is really thoughtful like that.) We won't be moving anywhere - this is IT for the rest of our lives !
- sub-urban! yes for me!..why?..because... a) easy transportation..public transport.. b) facilities - near hospital, clinics, dental clinics, c) shops.... d) bowling alley e) i like watching cinema.... f) got police station at sub urban? or fire department? or post office??? g) still maintain the greenary.. h) still got mountain with snows i) still got clear river... aaaa..what else?
- I'm in the city........I want a small, nice quiet place in a rural area. I love the change in seasons so I'm not one who is looking for the typical retirement places. I want to watch the sun rise and set and have my pets. I want to feel I'm safe to be in my home and not a target. I want to know if I forget to lock my door some night I will be ok. I don't need malls and traffic and tons of restaurants or anything like that. A good old country doc and peace and quiet is what I want.
- i would like a small house with 2 pine trees in front and nice neighbors around my age. well, whaddaya know, thats what i have already.
- Hmmmmmmmmm................................................................................................I'l think of it when the time comes. Thank You
- where i raised my kids 3/4 of the time and 1/4 of the time in warm weather! which is rural because it is inexpensive already and im so familiar with it and have few friends here and my kids are more likely to return here and i feel comfy here it is home!
- nursing home or an assisted living dont care where all i know is i do not want to do laundry
- I'd like to stay right where I am now--a suburb of Chicago, close to transportation.
- I retired to the counrty side in Ireland and just adore it
- I want to live in the country.Peace and quiet.
- a. rural - i am going to start an organization and i already constructed a suitable building for doing research on Human Behavior and helping the poor people/children's education and old age home / possible projects to help the women and child..
- Retirement. from what exactly? I hate the word, if it actually means getting rid of the day job, it should be called Liberation Day! I am a disgraceful oldie, is 57 "senior"? sounds too solemn for the likes of me...:) :):) I want to be in the middle of a swinging town (I am already) where everything is happening. As far as I am concerned this is just another opportunity to learn new things; the kind I was too impatient or poor, to learn earlier (like flying), AND to continue with the pure pleasure of enjoying life! Cultivate the mind, body (YES) and soul! And don't forget to have a laugh along the way...
- Okay luvspbr2....I'm coming to live with you. I'll feed the chickens and tend to the goats. Sounds like heaven to me after living in big cities.
- We really want to get to Arizona..Just in a nice small town ...Climate is good and the scenery is wonderful!!!
- Florida is the place to be especially when retired, as it has so many different things to do and see. Besides the 'moving scenery' on the beaches isn't too bad either!
- On the Beach in the Mountains of Western NC. AS IF!
- Retire? What does that mean? I don't understand? You have to be old to do that, don't you? IF, I were ever to retire, I want to be somewhere that I can have a big garden, can and preserve, bake until I'm blue in the face and then have a big, big party and invite you all over to partake in all of the goodies! So I guess that means suburban.
