Where to retire ?

I will be retiring from the military in a couple of years, was thinking of moving overseas somewhere. What countries have good ex-pat communities and econemies will allow my retirement check to have more value ?

3. I have retired buddies in the Philippines, Bangkok Thailand and Belize in S.A. My buddy in the Philippines loves it there, golfs allot, helps out in the ex-pat district of Manila where their are bars and restaurants owned by ex pats. So he makes Little money on the side bar tending there. His two story townhouse on the outskirts of Manila cost him about 20,000 dollars, and he lives well on his retirement check there.
4. Belize is nice.
5. I've heard the Philippines is a good place to go to make the dollar last longer.
6. Retire in Sydney, British Columbia, Canada and enjoy the good life.
