- What country are you in? How can anyone possibly answer otherwise. Also, do you have a private pension (IRA, RRSP, etc.) or employer's pension? If you are dependent upon social security/state pension you will starve. There are, however, some means-tested benefits. Retiring before 59-1/2 may increase your tax bill on personal pensions in the USA. And retiring in the USA or Canada and claiming state pension will reduce that pension proportionately on an actuarial basis. There are lots of Web sites to help you -- Google <retirement pension planning> or something like that. Also, consider moving to a cheap state: http://moneycentral.msn.com/articles/retire/basics/9838.asp or country (Costa Rica, Mexico . . .) -- there are Web sites on that, too.
- not a lot
- fill in the forms, and send then off.
- only early retirement pension if you're due it
- Depends. If you're an illegal immigrant, lazy bum, benefits cheat, tax dodger etc you should do quite well. Keep at it.
- Whenever you like!!!!!!
- I claim 2 points
- bus pass
- whatever it is it won't be enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- NOTHING! Well I am pretty sure you cannot in the UK. You get your pension when you reach retirement age. As for CLAIMING - why the hell should the honest, hardworking, taxpayers fund your desire for an early retirement. Do like the rest of us do and WORK.
- Nothing.
- You can become a refugee in Japan
- Assuming that you are in the U.S., there are 50 states and probably that many ways to answer your question.
- should have saved 15 per cent off wage for last 40 years then if you were a techer you would get 11000 a year a nurse 12000 a year a policeman 12500 a year a politician 84000 a year so hope that helped
- you might get a turban
- For the UK.... nothin if u retire early because u are depriving urself of income, so u cant claim jsa, income support or incapacity benefit. If u were ill and had a sick note u could put in claims for income support and incapacity. if u were seriously disabled and needed frequent supervision u maybe able to claim for disability living allowance if you were caring for someone on medium rate care component of DLA u could apply for carers allowance if u deferred ur pension for about 5 yrs u would get a healthy lump sum - its an option if u are financially comfortable
