retirement oz

OZZY fans: is it time for Ozzy to retire from singing?

I went to Ozzfest over the weekend. Every song was lowered by an octave to make the vocals easier for him, but he still couldn't sing on key. He reads every word off a teleprompter. Don't misunderstand, I love Ozzy and his music. I saw him in the 80's when he was great. Now it's getting sad. He can't possibly need the money, so why doesn't he retire from singing? If his wife Sharon truly loved him, she wouldn't let him humiliate himself like that. Anyone who's been to Ozzfest have an opinion? BELIEVE ME, I'm not trying to rip on Ozzy. I love every CD he's ever made. He's a Rock & Roll legend, a pioneer, and it hurts to see him butcher his classic songs. I'll never stop listening to his music... but I can't bear to see him sing live anymore. I'd rather just remember watching him sing Over The Mountain with Randy Rhoads at his side...

  1. Yeah. =(
  2. yep that dude's mind is fried
  3. It's time for Ozzy to quit talking.
  4. yup... but i only like crazy train..
  5. yes- i think so. Kind of like the Rolling Stones- your time passes they need to accept that.
  6. Yeah he his in poor shape. I saw him at Ozzfest last year and the year before that. It was pretty sad. You know the reason he splahes water on himself is because he is incontinent.
  7. well maybe he should...but those complications are from him drinking to much in the past and it has messed him up quite badly...but maybe he should...but that all depends on him and what he wants to do...he still has to get a retirement plan going if/when he retires. But if he is this bad he should...but knowing his music is still gonna live on! ROCK ON OZZY!!! I love ozzy!!! I love the whole osbourne family!
  8. Never been to Ozzfest, but he should have stopped when Black Sabbath died.
  9. If he LOVES doing it after so many years.. Then who are you to "suggest" he retires from his passion?? ANd with regards to Sharon it is becuase she loves him that she lets him do what he loves no matter how sad or awful he may be... You dont really sound like a "true fan"....
  10. I went this summer and I must agree with you he's not at his best right now-he's older, on a lot of meds etc.... Maybe he just doesn't want to retire (not because of money, for fear he'll be forgotten) I don't know. I'm a HUGE Ozzy fan, but maybe it would be best.
  11. The Oz man has a fried brain. "This is your brain on drugs" looks good next to his. But...he's made a lot of music and so what if he uses the teleprompter; it's hard to remember lyrics without a memory. Lighten up; perhaps he was just really, really high. If you don't like him, don't go. Enough said
  12. He's still performing!?!?! lol rofl ...no freakin way. should stay home and toss hams at the neighbors.
  13. ozzy should retire before valued fans like you are lost to the fact that he is aging and that he cant sing as well as he used to
  14. I don't want OZZY to retire yet....not till I see him in concert! I'm waiting till he comes to Canada again. Even if he's not as good as he was, he will always be awsome to me.OZZY RULES!!!!!!! :)
  15. Bite your tongue.
