Why is it that the US Government can spent billions to help out Iraq and Millions on the Tsunami to a Country?

That do not like the USA. But USA should help if we can. BUT PLEASE is there are people like CEO's that Retire with $400 million bonuce. Other proud wealthy Americans out there like Mr.Trump countless movie Stars makeing Millions. I am disabled Contractor. But I appeal to all your Good old AMERICAN PRIDE and ask One thing. It has been one yr from Katrena and It looks like it happened yesterday. Why can we not get AMERICANS together down there. We are AMERICANS WE DO IT BETTER THEN IT WAS. like we try to all over the World when we help. I am a Vet and a Proud AMERICAN but the way it still look down there is shamefull. Now is the time we need to take care of are people like we take care of the rest of the world. And not worrie about the money just build it back better if we can. So how can we do it. I They need are help? There are so many Good AMERICAN'S in this Country that it should look better then new in six mounths take away all the red tape. So How can do we it Show ME!

3. Nope I don't agree with the 400 million retirement, ridiculous but hey I don't own or run the company or really know what he did to earn 400 million. Katrina did what was need to be done. New Orleans practically the whole damn city was a ghetto. I spent a few weeks down in that shit whole of a town and I'm glad it came through. First, the dumb bastards planted a city in a marsh, its been sinking since they did it and its way under the level of the sea right now. I am not going to help rebuild a loosing proposition. Its foolish to rebuild even if they do fix the levees, predicting what a hurricane can and will do is two different things but in order to prevent this from happening again fixing the levees is only one of the things. Countless millions will be spent and more as the years go by. Now the refugees in every city who were evacuated from New Orleans where ever they landed the crime has risen. This proves my ghetto statement earlier. I say move the city north 50 miles and be down with it, turn the land back into a marsh and appease the tree huggers and help the environment by cleansing the sewage that leaked out and I'm not talking about the refugees.
4. Why is that SADLY? We should be getting all the oil from Iraq that we can carry!! WE've been defending their @$$es for years and losing our soldiers. Yeah, we should be getting all the oil we want. Case closed. We should have a direct FRIGGIN' pipeline!!! People complain about Bush being responsible for high oil prices. These are the same people like you who complain about the oil-for-food programs, etc. Sheez. You know what's going to happen next? All the criticism the Bush admin gets, the democrats will get into office and pull out the troops. Everyone cheers yeah! Then China or Russia or maybe another Arab country like Iran (where all Hussein's WOMDs went which are now in Iran's 'nuclear power' program) will come in to Iraq and strike an oil deal with them for protection. I as an American am sickened at how stupid the American people really are. In the meantime, America will be further lower on the chain of oil distribution, ie, higher prices.
5. Sunday 4th September 2005 (01h01) : A "floatilla of aid" TURNED BACK from New Orleans...Explain! There have been many Americans who have donated to the Red Cross - and many who have gone to New Orleans to help in person. There has been a lot of red tape. People are being told that they can't help because "that contract has already been given to someone," although the work is not being done. I am guessing that the longer the contracter waits, the higher the bidding will go, and so New Orleans suffers, as contractors do nothing, in order to increase their profit margin. Once upon a time, you had to work in order to do that.
6. More is spent on the countries that can provide us with products like oil or are needed to become our allies. Less is spent on countries that have little to offer us in the way of a grossly needed national product or are already our allies. Sad to say, but it is pure power politics. How to change it? Because America became the worlds police and savior it will be difficult to change this dynamic. Voting couldn't hurt, but look at what it got us so far,...Bush Jr! Hey, I support our troops and am an American, but look at what the government has or hasn't done so far for it's own people. Now THAT is sad.
