im a male 42 from uk,im thinking of retiring to rio de janerio is it safe and how much money would i need?

im quite a wealthy uk male who is single and im thinking or retiring to rio,how much money would i need? what part do i go to? what sort o lifestyle should i exspect.i dont speak any languages only english will this be a problem. in uk i own a group of hotels so would i need to buy one in rio to survive?? i dont know the area so all info would be appreciated. martinf266@yahoo.co.uk

  1. Probably be wise to visit and travel in Brazil for a few months...to help you find the answers to your questions. It is a big step and you ned to find out how you feel about it qfter visiting there for an extended tme. You will need to learn Portuguese. No matter what part of the world you live in there will be a few people who speak English, but in everyday life, you need to speak the native language. you need to contact the Brazilian embassy and learn what the visa requirements are and how to apply. See websites below. I am an American retired in mexico...and I believe these things apply no matter what country you are considering retiring to. Also, My experience is that MEN who retire very early, get bored in nothing flat. You need a plan, business, interests to keep you busy in your retirement.
