Why do rich people keep working...?

If you have a billion dollars, and you keep "working" it makes me think that whatever you do to make money really isn't a job after all. I know the exact price it would take for myself to retire. I don't need/want a 100-room mansion or a fleet of bentleys. Do you have to be addicted to cocaine or yachts to stay in business? If you won 100 million dollars would you keep your day job?

3. Working provides meaning, satisfaction, socialization, and entertainment. It keeps you healthy (depending on the job) and produces more money.
4. It really depends on your job. I happen to love my job and if I won the lottery tomorrow, I wouldn't quit my job. I guess it depends upon whether the work you do is more than just a paycheck.
5. No I wouldn't but rich people have more money than they do sense.
6. "If you won 100 million dollars would you keep your day job?" no, I'd quit the next week (and give two weeks notice?). "Why do rich people keep working?" Well, maybe they LOVE their job?! =) And some rich people aren't as rich as you think. It depends. My family isn't rich, but we aren't poor either. We are just lower middle class. So that is why my paren'ts keep working (to pay off the house and to have retirement money). Oh, and they pay for MY college tuition too! I know I'm spoiled!
7. I personally would not keep working ...well for money that is. I would start helping needy children or people get back on their feet. Some people just don't think that enough money is enough for them. Or they could also be addicted to work....that happens a lot more than we know.
8. Rich people keep working because that is all they have that is meaningful or fufilling to them. I wouldn't need 100 million, if I won 1 million I would retire and live off that...
9. when you're making that kind of money, you probably have a decent job and it comes with power and respect. you're changing the world and building cities. it can become a big game of monopoly. expanding your empire.
10. Because they still have to pay taxes and if they didn't work life would be kinda boring, in my opinion. If I had 100 million dollars I would quite my job and go to college full time. I would also put some of the money in a savings bond. Then after college I would work again. I hate working of min. wage you work way to work hard for not even enough to support your self, let allow paying for college.
11. A year ago or so there was some maid who won 400 million dollars and she vowed to continue doing that for a living. Some people simply view their job as a hobby, and therefore DONT want to quit it regardless of the amount of money it generates. Another reason is that unemployment is conducive to boredom. While the rich person may be vacationing, he/she wont have a social life because all their family/friends/aquantancies probably work.
12. Because they are lucky enough to have found something that drives them and gives them a passion for life.The money is not what its all about.If i got 100million i would find my passion and start my own company.
