Do you think that Brett should retire this year or next?
Do you think he should retire really soon or do you think he should keep playing foodball for the rest of his life? If you think he should retire soon, when do you think he should retire? I personally am tired of hearing how good he always is and he should settle down now because of his daughter.

- He should keep playing as long as he is able to, as long as he is still one of the best, and as long as G.B. gives him an opportunity to win!!! I love how Brett Favre has the drive to compete and win!!! I am a Brett Favre fan and am not eager for him to retire...
- Barring an injury he'll play this year and next I believe.
- He has announced he is returning to the team.I would say another couple of years.
- he'll retire when he's ready. some of his fans are eager for him to retire and i'm still trying to figure out why. he's also got a degree in teaching with a special education emphasis, so he can go do that if he wants to. yes, i know he's had many injuries, but he's an athlete they get injured. he's also suffered injuries from a car accident while in college (he wrapped himself around a tree). if your looking for an answer, why don't you ask brett instead of us here on yahoo.
- Brett Favre is a true sportsman, and he refuses to go out on a sour note. I don't think that Favre will retire on a losing team. He wouldn't be happy with himself if he left Green Bay at this point. I honestly think that he will play for 3 more years, and quite possibly, earning a spot in the Superbowl in that 3rd year. I'm not a Green Bay fan by any means, but you can't dislike Brett Favre if you are a true football fan. He deserves to go out with a bang, and that will either be a good run at the playoffs, or a superbowl bid.
- I believe he should continue do to the fact that there back up QB has not proven that he can win games they have no other choice in the matter and think about either getting a Avaliable Veteran QB this off season i.e.(Trent Green) or draft one this year because their are alot of good prospects coming out of the draft this year! They need to keep him until they have made a QB move because of the impact and Leadership he brings to the team.
- I don't think brett favre will ever retire as long as the gun (which serves as his arm) keeps firing bullets.
- I'd say he's going to retire after the 2008 season, if not the 2009. He's got a lot of drive, can still throw the ball better than most in this league, and if the team is willing to build around him and work with him, he can get them back to the Super Bowl. He was very close to getting a very young team into the playoffs this year. And the NFC is still wide open in most respects. When it comes down to it, the only thing that would hold them out of the playoffs this coming year are the Bears. I don't see the Vikings and the Lions improving enough this year to compete. Favre can still play with the best of them, is a top tier QB and they will make the playoffs for the next couple of years.
- He should retire 2 seasons ago...the pack arent going anywhere with him. Sure, he puts fans in the seats (but in GB fans will go anyways), but hes not gonna lead them to the playoffs (even in the weak nfc).
- For him, I think he should have retired last year, even if they did go 8-8. For the team, he actually needs to play a bit longer because if he were to leave right away they'd have a pretty crappy QB situation. Honestly I think they're gonna experience quite a drop off once he leaves.
- Brett Farve is football.........he represents all the good things that the sport has to offer.....he is the man.....and if he feels that he can still play he will and i will love every second of it
- With the ankle surgery he is receiving right now, I imagine he plans to make a couple more years. If the young team can't come together however, I think he will retire after this season.
- Bret should have retired the yr before this season. Too much money on a team w/ lots of holes and know he is staying and his starting RB is gone. His arm will fall off this upcoming season if they dont replace Green.
- Yeah here is what's going to happen. He will be in the middle of a game take a hard hit and they won't be able to bring him back to life. He will die on the field and according to his will he will be buried in that spot. Sometimes I think that is what is really going to happen. I think he retires after this year though, IF he captures the rest of the records. Sorry but I think he looks like he was selfish to stay around and like it was more about being that close to the records.
- YES the sooner the better Im getting tired of that dude
- The man has and still is earning his stay. He is remarkable and is great for football.. Wish they would trade him to my team the bears.. His style, his ability, his expierence would assure them a superbowl win next year... Never can say assure but he would sure fit well in that system.
- If he still has the drive, he should still play. He can still do it physically and is still one of the better QBs in the league. People point to his INTs saying he sucks, but he's had only one good receiver the past couple of years and a rebuilt offensive line. So, yes, he's still good. What's annoying is the media making such a big deal about him. It makes people want him to retire so they don't hear about it. You take away the media, he's a great throwback player that is fun to watch and can still play. So I'm glad he's back.
- now...he is to old
- He should quit while he can before something serious could happen such as death.
- he should play as long as he is healthy to play
- Yes, he should retire if you ask me. I believe his best years are behind him. Why does he want to go out on a negative note like so many other players before him who didn't know when to quit?
- Retire, hes too old too slow, and past his prime, he should of retired 2 years ago. What have the packers done in the last 4 years/
- He should still play until he gets soooooo worn out!
- He should of retired last year........all he's doing is prolonging his suckiness.
- I figure he will play this year and then decide about coming back according how he and Green Bay do I guessing he will play this year and next
