- NO!!! he needs to keep playing! anyway how old is he? i hope he will not retire and keep playin with wade and the heat!!! come on, i was the first to answer u so give me the points!!!
- ya, he should play another year and retire.
- maybe to make mends, he'll somehow end up back in LA within the next two or three years, and retire as a Laker... I'm guessing, if the Heat don't make a serious run next year for the championship, we'll see them retire # 34 at Staple Center... just my opinion...
- If he doesnt retire now then he is just going to look bad next season...shaq is done!
- I believe he still has 2 or 3 years on his contract but I think if he does not get in shape and take things serious then maybe he should. Because he is starting to embarrass himself.
- yes, his body can't take it no more. you can see it by his numbers, which have dropped the past 2 seasons
- I know he's not as effective as he used to be but I don't think he should retire. I mean 18.8 pts/game is still 18.8 pts/game. If it comes to a point where he becomes plagued with injury and becomes a fixture on the bench, then sure there's no point in trying to keep the flame of glory lit. No matter which way Shaq goes, he's already had a fulfilling career in the NBA.
- no! because he is very good at dunking and it helps the heat get into the playoffs!
- As long as he doubles down on the icy hot, he should be able to play another few seasons. Its a proven fact that Shaq can live off of just icy hot.
- His domination days are long over. But, his career could last 4 more years (making him 40) if he stays healthy. The reason is that the league has large voids at center. But, if I was Shaq, I would retire and not tear my body apart to the point I can barely move for the next 30 years of my life. Enjoy your wife and children!!! 4 NBA titles, millions of dollars, and the classification as one of the greatest centers of all time should be enough! America needs a role model in the sports arena that will put his family first
- i thought the big slug already retired...;)
- he should give D. Wade respect by playing out his entire contract. Although his game has decreased, just being on the court is dominating for him and his team. Opponents have to plan out a different game plan when he is on the court and when he sits. That is crucial for the Heat.
- He has one year left on contract. He said after that year I'm going to retire. Just a year left.
- Yes he should, because he got his ring without Kobe which is what he wanted.
- yep. he's always missing time anyway...
- He Should, But Shaq Was Asked That After Their series with the Bull And He said that '' I Still have alot of years and experience in me still''
