- Heck no! He is great! But maybe soon he will.
- NO he will next year, havent you heard?
- not this year GO PACK GO!
- YES!!! Retire, old man! He's such an arrogant jerk! I hope he retires before next season so I don't have to listen to him babble on about how good he is and how there's no one good enough to replace him!
- No way! I love Brett Favre, he's my favorite non-Steelers' player, ever. The only thing that I got tired of was before last season when he dragged his decision out so long. I'm so happy that he made up his mind much quicker this time. Cheers!
- Hell Yes! Brett Favre is past his time and he will not win another chip so I have no idea why he would want to
- he should of retired years ago
- If the kid still feels he wants to play, I say let him.
- ya i think its time for him to hang em up
- I don't see what he can still accomplish. He has a Super Bowl ring, and his name in the record book. It seems selfish for him to continue to play for a bad team. It's like he's trying to go for individual records. I'm not taking anything away from him, he's good, but there's a point when he has to ask himself if he's playing because he thinks the Packers can win, or if he's playing for himself.
- Yeah... he's gonna hurt himself which will just hurt his team in the long run & his legacy. If he keeps coming back to get one more superbowl he will continue to have embarressing seasons and really tarnish a great legacy. He just doesn't have "it" anymore... send the ol' boy out to pasture. No longer when your team goes against the Packers do they say "Uh oh... Brett Favre!" Well they do actually... but that statement is usually sarcastic lead by a chorus of laughter in the opposing teams locker room.
- YES he is hurting the packers rateher than helping....Also you would want to retire would good taste in people mouth like Tiki Barber retired at the top of his game. Brett Favre should do the same instead retiring with 15 tds 24 ints.I made those stats up but highly possible.
- I don't think Brett Favre should retire yet. He can still fire the football. If the Packers can have an offensive line in front of him he can still do well.
- no way. let him play as long as he does not make himself look like a fool. He still has alot in his tank. He still moves real good in the pocket. Better then quite a few who are alot younger. I want to enjoy him as long as I can because someone like him comes along every 10-15 years. He may need a little more help then in the past but he is still a top 8 QB. The Bears would have another Super Bowl ring if he was the QB for them........ I say let him play and we should enjoy him for as long as we can.
- never
- no way, brett is a legend and always will be. montana played longer than he should have and nobody looks down on him or marino
- NO, Not as long as his heart in the game he loves plus is also Physically Capable of winning too.
- Not until he's ready. He is still one of the best QB's in the league. The Pack had the youngest team in the league last year and they finished with 4 straight wins. The Defensive players have finally started to gel together. Favre makes everyone around him better. He has the most heart I've ever seen in professional sports. Love that fact that he a man of his word and sticks up for the NFL when players complain about there contracts and demand more money. Loved the fact that he told stupid Javon Walker to honor his contract. BTW, I hope they don't sign Moss. What a train wreck that guy is.
- He shouldn't retire because he's still good, has a team thats quickly improving, and he's close to breaking some of the biggest records out there.
- not yet he still has at least 2 or 3 good years left he just needs a good supporting cast to help him out
- He's not going to retire before next season, and I think he was more likely to retire a year ago than now. However, I think he *should* retire. He's past his prime. The last two seasons were terrible for him. Aikman knew when he was going downhill and called it quits. Dallas has struggled since Aikman left to find the right quarterback. So has Denver. It's inevitable Green Bay will have these struggles when Farve calls it quits. Him sticking around is just delaying the inevitable. On the other hand, the front office would want him to stay. People will still buy tickets if Farve is playing because they love him. .
- No because he is still the best QB in the league. Renee, what the hell do you know? Arrogant jerk? Have you ever actually heard the man speak? I've watched his entire career every highlight and all game coverage and never once has he talked about how great he is, enough people do that for him. Anyone who says he has nothing left probably hasn't watched a Packer game in the last couple of years, rather they prefer to snatch crumbs of information from sports writers trying to make a name for themselves by taking away from his. Favre 4ever
- He should have retired 2 years ago. He's only holding up the rebuilding process by playing on a very crappy Packer team. Hang it up and let Rodgers get a chance to play!
