Which referee (s) should retire?
I think Dick Bavetta and Joe Crawford should retire. Bavetta is old and sometimes make terrible calls. Crawford is an ego-maniac who is too controlling.

- Definitely Crawford. You know something is very wrong when you see Tim Duncan being ejected.
- After being suspended by NBA Commissioner David Stern, Stern announced twice that Stern was "sure" that over the summer of 2007 that "Joey" Crawford, son of former famous MLB umpire "Shag" Crawford, would most definitely decide to retire from the NBA. "Joey" Crawford was suspended for repeatedly challenging Spurs player Tim Duncan to fight during the middle of a game. Duncan did not respond to "Joey" Crawford's baiting and never said anything to "Joey" Crawford for which "Joey" Crawford called two technical fouls on Duncan and ejected Duncan from the game. Immediately after the game, "Joey" Crawford went to the media and told them all kinds of bad things that Tim Duncan had done or said to "Joey" Crawford during the game to get the two technical fouls and the ejection. "Joey" Crawford forgot that seemingly all NBA games are on TV now, and, replays show Duncan during the ejection of never even looking at or saying anything to anyone much less "Joey" Crawford. So, what "Joey" Crawford said to the media was a total falsehood. Since that time period where NBA Commissioner David Stern, the man who suspended Michael Jordan for 2 years from playing in the NBA which resulted in Jordan's minor league baseball and movie careers, has since said that "Joey" Crawford was welcome to come back to the NBA. Oh, really, Mr. Stern? During the stretch run at the end of the 2006-2007 NBA season, the Spurs over a 15 game period only lost two games, both refereed by "Joey" Crawford with "Joey" Crawford hitting Tim Duncan with technicals and or ejections in both games. So, "Joey" Crawford needs to go. Dick Bavetta never should have been in the NBA joining as a 40 year old rookie the same year that "Joey" Crawford was a 24 year old rookie. Bavetta has gotten somewhat better; however, it seems that an inordinate amount of the major fights in recent NBA history have been when Bavetta has been refereeing. Bavetta at 67 physically looks in much better shape than he did when he was a 40 year old rookie. Javie should retire too.
- Crawford should because he is too sensitive to remarks. he is to quik to call a T. Bavetta is an old fart but at least he is consistent. Consistently bad but consistent.
