- yes yes yes... ppl ask this so many times...they've had the limelight for long enough... too much of anything is bad... so is this...
- He is at the point in his career where he should certainly consider it, It is better to go out on top, and be remembered that way, than hang on and be reviled for poor play.
- I don't really feel its time for them to retire..bad phase comes in every one's life....consider this there bad phse and give them a chance after all they have been match winners for so many years now.
- surely yes
- i am looking for these this question my answer is that they can retire now but these youngsters should be playing for one or two years and when the youngsters come to form these players and retire i think its opinion
- yes its about time thay do.. theyve become old.. its time they a chance for the youngsters to follow on
- i dont think this the time for them to quit because when India would tour down under these are the class players ehich would be performing and scoring heavily not youngsters because there would be seaming conditions.Sachin, sourav and Dravid adjust to these conditions better than any player in the world. It may be too early for them quit international cricket. They can think of it when youngsters start performing consistanly in the limited version of cricket as reflexes tend to slowdown as we ages and it takes longer to heal the injuries in elder players but for test cricket they should continue for atleast two more years. - Let's look at it objectively..Let's suppose the BIG Three retire and make way to young players. It will be good only as far as grooming the young blood goes. We will still have unimaginable expectations from the fans who will still want to see somebody take the spot vacated by the three and do exactly what they (Sachin, Rahul, Saurav) did and that's not easy. It also places an extreme amount of pressure on the players to perform. Case in point, the West Indian team when Lloyd, Greenidge, Richards and Richardson retired was in a pretty bad shape (not that they're world-beaters today) and are still trying to re-cover. Can Indians fans take that kind of losing (for years, maybe??). I very much doubt it. We can think we have talented individuals but only once in a lifetime are you going to see a Sachin, Rahul or Saurav. Enjoy them while you can because this ain't going to last for ever. They (the Big Three) will retire (eventually) but for the sake of the younger players, I would rather see them stay for a few years and then retire (hopefully, not together but some months or series apart). This will let some player(s) ease his/their way into the spot. The millions of youth that you refer to will still be playing cricket and can not be satisfied by the Big Three leaving. Some one is always going to be dissatisfied at being left out of the team. That's the nature of the sport.
- Not sachin and sourav but Dravid can retire.
- I think Sourav and Dravid should retire now, Sachin showed some form in the series againist Australia as he was the highest run scorer for India in that series.
- YES! India can win more matches if they are taken out.
