Why football players so young do retire? Example: Zidane, Cafu, Rivaldo, Kahn, Nakata?
P.S. why did Nakata retire and how did he get qualification to pursue a degree in business from Harvard? Yes, sorry I did some research and found that Kahn is still playing for his club team Bayern Munich. Also, I think Kahn was the goalkeeper during this world cup third place game between Germany and Portugal (which went in favour of Germany 3-1).

- being a professional athlete is hard on your body. The retire young because they have spent the last 20 years beating up their joints and muscles.
- First Question Players like that retire because they got nothing else to put into the game. How about Pele's He knew what's best. Nakata said A degree in Business is Better than winning the Golden Boot
- I WISH I KNOW THE ANSWER 2 UR QUESTION!!!!!!!! I AM STILL SAD THAT ZIDANE RETIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Well....some football player said they want to spend some time with their family or other personal reason.....but I know 1 thing, Khan is not retired from football.....just for international game...he is still playing for his club..^^
- They may be young in a general perspective, but as athletes they are not. There is only so much a player can take. When you're playing professionally by like the age of 18 all the way up until you are like 35, some guys are bound to get tired and achy. Sure they are excellent players and we want to see them continue playing, but it's not about us. It's about them and how they feel and it's about what they want for themselves.
- Cuz age is catching up. Their agility and speed are decreasing. You try playing sports since you're young. As u grow older, u will have lots of old injuries and pains. So they retired to stop furthur worsening the conditions of their bodies. Enjoy their lifes.
