- this may be out of your spending limit, but a cruise is a great gift for anyone, maybe you can tell your mom, and you can chip in or something. Otherwise camping, fishing, a picnic, there are all kinds of gifts that youo can't wrap that would ake him happy.
- retirement?!?!?!? a good humidor and a few good cigars... someething to enjoy on the front porch. you'll probably spend a good 200 on humidor, cigars, cigar cutter, butane torch... ooh and you could throw in a smoking jacket... classic and classy! ooh and a bottle of a good whiskey or brandy......
- Smartie has the right idea. A vacation. If you can't afford the tickets for a cruise, think about asking your Mom where she would like to go, within your spending limits. Or ask Dad. Gambling? Mississippi, La Vegas, Reno, New Jersey all have packages that are reasonably priced. Are Mom and Dad planning a vacation?Ask. And give them spending money. Luggage is nice, one of those wheeled suitcases that do a 360 degree turn look cool. Help Dad find a hobby. Golf, power walking, cards. Take them out for the eve. Dad's favorite restaurant, a show, a movie, and ice cream, his favorite bar. A new lounge chair, reclining, of course. A warm afgan to go with it. Did he get the traditional gold watch from work? If not, a watch. Buy a funny plaque, I'm retired leave me alone thing. The catalogues have stuff like that. Hope this helps.
