profitable business ideas for rural area?
Hello i live in Shawnee of the Poconos of Pennsylvania. My mom and I are looking to start a business but dont know where to begin. First off, we live in an area where potential sometimes looks high but then in the winter time it is extremely disastrous. The snow sometimes gets to 5 feet or more and we're afraid that could affect our future business. So we're thinking about an at home business but we're not sure which one would be a good idea. We will not only cater to Shawnee but hopefully to the surrounding poconos as well. Also we both have experienced in almost anything but every one moves so slowely with the times we dont know how quickly they would move to utilize what we offer. Ideas would help tremendously.

- Well first of all a home business does eliminate some expenses of operations of a normal business, but it sounds like you need to research what kind of business will do well on a seasonal bases. - How about event planning for local businesses. I'm sure they still try to motivate thier employees even when it's cold outside. So you can assist them buy planning what they will do, parties, trips, luncheons...
