How many home runs will Barry Bonds finally hit before retiring...?
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -Giants slugger Barry Bonds hit his 761st home run on Friday night, a towering shot off Milwaukee's Chris Capuano that bounced on the boardwalk before splashing into McCovey Cove. Bonds knew it was gone the moment he connected with Capuano's 2-0 pitch. He let go of the bat, raised his arms and watched the ball disappear before trotting around the bases to a standing ovation. Bonds singled home a run in the first inning and flew out to right field in the second before hitting his 27th home run of the season, solo shot with one out. It was Bonds' second career home run off Capuano. Barry Bonds will hit... 775-800............Home Runs before retiring 800-850............Home Runs before retiring 850-900............Home Runs before retiring over 900............Home Runs before retiring Just an after-thought... Sadaharu Oh or officially Wang Chenchih (Chinese: 王貞治; Pinyin: Wáng Zhēnzhì, Hepburn: Ō Sadaharu, born May 20, 1940), is a former baseball player and manager of the Yomiuri Giants in Nippon Professional Baseball and is the current manager of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. He holds the world record for home runs on a Pro level, having hit 868 in his career. Oh is the son of a Taiwanese father and a Japanese mother and was born in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan. Because of nationality laws at the time, Oh has never been a Japanese citizen, but in fact a national of Taiwan, though he speaks only Japanese.

- 775-800. He's done after this year.
- he ll have 447 non steroid homers at the end of the 2007 season...
- He could hit 1000 homers and no one will really care!
- Gee. I wonder how many HRs Bonds would have hit had he been juiced up?? Lol! His record is and always will be a farce. Hammering Hank is still the HR king until Alex Rodriguez passes him.
- My guess: He will hit 9 more this year and then come back for one more year. He will hit 22 next season before hanging it up with 792!
- Barry Bonds will not stop playing until either his knees give out and he can't stand or when he hits 800 homeruns, because he wants to be the first MLB player to do it.
- I dont think he will pass 800 - might not even return next season.
- the way he is hitting right now i'd say over 900 homers. he is a nolan ryan version of a hitter
- The question is how many will actually count, without an * by them after the hearings are all said and done. More than half of his homers shouldn't count.
- 792
- A better question may be does anyone care how many HR Bonds will have when he retires, or maybe you don't want a yes or no answer.
- He won't break the all time record that most people know very little about. 868 homers
- 781
- I predict he will hit 801. Then his record will fall by 2015 to either A-ROD or Pujols.
- This is hard to say. Will he play next year or not? I would guess that he will end up in the 775-800 range which would leave him short of the "world record holder" for lifetime homeruns which is held by a Japanese gentlemen named "OH". I don't remember his first name but I know that when he retired, he had over 800 homeruns!
- 4 career homers
- How the hell did you type in Chinese? Pretty freaking amazing!Bonds will end up just shy of 785.
