Do you think "The Price is Right" will still be a popular show after Bob Barker retires?
After Bob Barker retires and a new emcee takes over next season, do you think "The Price is Right" will remain a strong show, or will its popularity decline?
Public Comments
- It will never be the same without Bob. I see it going a season or two with a replacement and then gone.
- I personally think a lot of people won't watch anymore...I don't think I will :( Bob's the best!!
- I don't think its popularity will decline right away. Loyal fans of the show (like me) will continue to tune in and check out the new emcee. If he's not any good then, yes, they will turn off the tube. So much depends on who the new emcee is and how he entertains.
- No
- that show hasn't been the same since Rod Roddy died
- No. Bob makes the show. Once he leaves it does not matter if you put a naked chick as the host. It will not be the same and the ratings will drop if the continue the show instead of cancelling it.
- i think it will lose a bit of popularity but it will still be watched. i watch the show a bit and it will stay the same with or without him.
- Oh yea, the game show itself is just too popular to fail after all these many years. People adjust, you'll see.
