I will retire to Philippines with my asiangf filipina wife, is Ph a safe and cheap place to live ?

I’m going to retire my job soon and I want to move in asia because I met my sweet asian wife in asiangf. Is Philippines a cheap and safe place to live ?

2. I've been retired and living here in Iloilo (Visayas Region 6) for the past 5 plus years. I know for a fact it's safe here and reasonable inexpensive to live here. We live in a gated/guarded subdivision in a very nice neighbourhood and live an expat lifestyle. How cheap depends on how far away from town and how much your lifestyle is that of a native or an expat.
3. The Philippines has some areas that are not safe, like some places in Mindanao because there are rebels there. Philippines is attracting foreigners to retire in the Philippines according to an article I read. Well, you may want to settle in Cebu. There are still rebels but they are already few from 20-30 according to the Provincial Government. The rebels are located in the north of Cebu. The government are doing everything to crush the rebels. The cities in Cebu are nice. If you are wondering if the Philippines has hospitals that do not charge to much. Well, the Philippines is developing Medical Tourism because of the cheap services. GOODLUCK!

7. Living costs in the Philippines would be cheap for you. It would also be safe if you know where to retire. You could start scouting for locations that don't have trouble, listening to the news would be fine. I'd recommend the Visayas regions as they have been peace compared to Manila and Mindanao. However, your wife is from here so i'd say you would be close to her relatives so good luck and God bless.
