Currently she is a contract worker in Hong Kong where I will join her prior to relocating to the Philippines upon expiration of her contract. I SIMPLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT DOCUMENTATION, ETC. - If you would like to become a permanent resident in our country I believe there's a lot of process that you need to undergo but of course it is very much possible . you first visit this link DFA - our Department of Foreign Affairs and try to navigate on this site with regards to your request. Hope this helps , but I believe once you and your fiancee are married you will have the full time residence in the Phils without a problem.
- If you marry your fiance, you can stay for one year as a balikbayan. If you marry in Philippines you goto the bureau of immigration and ask for a change of status, and you will be allowed one year stay. Before your stay expires apply for temporary permanent resident, that lasts a year, but before the year ends you apply for permanent, permanent resident. All in it costs about P10,000 make sure you take all your documents with you. To marry in Philippines you need a certificate of no impediment to marry. If you are not married, you must put up Fifty thousand US dollars, which always belongs to you, but must be deposited say in Equitable bank, this option is best done from abroad. After six months you can use the money to buy a condominium. It is not hard at all, but every year in the first sixty days you must report to BI with your ACR and pay P310 renewal. An ACI card has now been introduced which you can use for entering and leaving the country once you are a permanent resident, this costs the equivalent of fifty dollars, and a bit of loose change. I am sorry I have condensed it, but that is it in essence. I hope that helps you. Your fiancee and family will help you don't worry, the BI office in Mandaue Cebu is great, the people are very helpful.
- I'm not going to get into details...but here's a little snippin...... If she never gave up her citizenship you will have to deposit $50,000 American dollars or more depending on your age into Philippine National Bank for a specific amount of time.
