Do yo want to live well/retire to the Philippines? 4 a £1,000/month u live like a king/queen?
The quality of life achieved for this amount in a provincial city is great. Maids are £15/ month house boys are free if you feed them well. food is cheap. (big prawns(8 to the kilo) are £2.50 a kilo) Sprats 20p/ kilo.beef 1.50 /kilo . drawbacks-- do not get sick and do not go intobusiness if you are not prepared to write off your investment. Do not go to court..it will take you 4 ever. Otherwise plenty of good charming company ..great to write and read books and paint and more.......

- Sounds nice, I've been wanting to move somewhere with cheap sprats. I'm almost of out sprats :)
- Maybe, I like petite women.
- No I would never want to move there
- True, but regarding the drawback of not getting sick... The Philippines has one of the most number of doctors in Asia and perhaps the world. The hospitals (in urban areas) are quite good and up to date. They export nurses and other medical people so the training is not sub par. There are a lot of specialists that are very very good. And, medical care is so much cheaper than in the US. Locals know where the best hospitals are.
- How un-informed ukfoo is! Filipinos are remarkably free of body hair and their noses are cute. They also do NOT speak Spanish, except for the top 1/4 percent of the very rich who control the country and keep the masses in poverty, although, finally, there is a decent middle class emerging. Life is cheap here, even having someone knocked off can be done for 50 quid. 1000 quid a month is plenty, in fact, unless you like expensive girls, you probably couldn't spend that much, you'd be drunk and fat on 30 quid a day! I've lived here well for 14 years and fly everywhere and run a yacht and motorbike and I spend around 10 quid a day averaged over the year! Good beef is a lot more than 1.50 though, but the health care is good and cheap, and apart from Dengue, there are not really any health problems to worry about. Most Filipinos have a remarkable resistance to disease, and seem to be able to live on very basic food all their lives, and still keep good skin and muscle tone. I love it here, and will not leave!
- u made a good choice to retire there....i'm a filipina but working out of the country, n no longer have an immediate famile there, but still my heart belongs to phils n no matter what happens, i'll stay as a filipino citizen.
- £1000 is a lot of money in the Philippines. I wouldn't migrate to the Philippines though, I was born in London, UK (my parents are filipino) and it is 500% better. I only go there for a holiday and to see me relatives... I'll probably stay there longer if I want to find a hot filipina wife that is willing to suck penis and fuk like a rabbit.
- Will bear that in mind when I retire.Especially as half my relatives are there too.
- your absolutely correct £1000 is a lot of money in the philippine specially if your alone in life. you can have all the person you need to elp you around your house even a driver and body gusrd as well.. maybe if somebody will give or make charity. i will not work in other country!!!!! i will stay here and enjoy life.....
- £1,000 a month is indeed a lot if you are by yourself. In fact it is a small fortune here. The hospitals are good and a private room is only £15 - £20 a day, with nurses. The consultant, medicines etc are extra on top.
- I plan to retire there thanks for info.
- I'm a Filipina and the amount you said is really wow ,big already.but first you have to make sure you have invested here in Philippines, then you can live your life to the fullest here.hope you would live here, and enjoy the hospitality of the Filipinos, and enjoy the tourist spot around the island.
