David Letterman retires from the Late Show, allegedly in 2010. Who would you like to see as his replacement?
The options have been considered, from Bruce Willis (as he covered as host several times and has always added comic value to his appearances) and Jon Stewart from the Daily Show, but if not those two, who else would you like to see hosting the big CBS show? Good to see Mel giving a priceless comment. haha and Conan O'Brian will replace Jay Leno in 2009 (when O'Brian retires from Tonight Show) I understand he isn't to everyone's taste, cwbondfan, and I agree, you either love him or hate him. Bruce Willis would be worth watching for sure. Thanks for the contrasting view ;)

- chris rock
- Jonathan Ross. It would get him out of this country.
- Tom Green
- Dave Chapelle
- mr and mrs blair
- Jay Leno - Apparently NBC is forcing him to retire in 2009 so Conan can take over (yay!). That would create a very interesting competitive situation. Of course, I am kidding - but if I had to seriously pick how about Mark McGrath?
- I don't ever want to see him retire cuz I love him ... but I say Vince VAughn, not that he'd drop his acting career but when he filled in a few years back he was friggin' brillant!
- Go for a coup and get Conan O'Brian
- pee wee herman
- don't like him and don't like talk show
- Joey Lawrence Whoooa!
- Craig Ferguson (spelling?). He's the one whose show is right after Letterman's. I don't think he plans out his shows except for the guests. His monologues are sometimes long as hell but they are funny as hell too and they're right off the top of his head. He's not reading off the prompter or whatever. When I started watching Conan O' Brien, I had no idea who he was, but I got addicted to his show because no one was like him and his comedy. Same goes for Craig Ferguson. Very original and authentic.
- His son Harry
- Someone not totally up their own arse and has a degree of talent. Someone opposite to Mr. Letterman then.
- think it should be gary glitter and pee wee herman !!
- letterman hasnt been funny for a while. john stewart would be a good replacement, if fact just move the daily show into the time slot. it would boost their ratings even more.
- I would like to see Letterman go now. He is a terrible presenter and a most unwatchable TV host I wish someone could tell me who can watch him without switching off. Is there anyone else who feels this way about him. Trust me it is not the inane stuff he is given to say, it's him!!. From what we see of his shows which are repeated in the UK he is awful and unwatchable. However in place of him anyone!! my vote, Garry Shandling who played obviously Larry Sanders. Having seen the other votes cast I agree Bruce Willis would bring a higher profile and make the show a darn site more watchable.
- Tim Allen, Bill Cosby, Martin Lawrence, Jon Stewart, Eddie Murphy , Jerry Seinfeld , Ray Romano
- Craig Ferguson
- Chris ROCK
- I think I'd make a good replacement, but Chris Rock or Martin Lawrence would make a great one.
