overseas chinese?
just wondering if anybody has ever been in the same situation... i've been living in taiwan for the past decade and what irks me the most is when people ask me where i'm from. i tell them that i am an overseas chinese born and raised in the philippines. you know how they reply to that? they would say, "so why is your skin so light?" duh! hello? OVERSEAS CHINESE!!! Have you ever seen overseas chinese living in the US (all over chinatown) having blond hair and blue eyes??? anybody ever had this experience?

- I have sympathy for your frustration...though I have never had that experience, I have friends quite tired of the "you all look alike" comment (sureeeeeeeeeee... all "Asians look alike and are either Chinese/Japanese")
