Studying Overseas?
I am considering studying overseas, more specificaly the U.K.. I was wondering if anyone has done this and how hard it was to get into their schools and adjust to living? How hard was it to fit into their society? and if you found a job, how hard was it to do so? Also do you know of any scholerships that are offered to students planning on studying overseas?

- I don't know of any scholarships but I know it's not going to be easy to adapt. I've lived in Germany & Australia & it's difficult for a US citizen to come to grips with the insanity of life outside the USA. The unique aspects of life elsewhere is daunting. Just to cross the street is an ordeal, every time. But you should not be discouraged, merely aware that it's a challenge, but life's like that!
- Generally overseas students are allowed to work for 20 hours a week. Adjusting in other country is highly difficult but definitely it takes time match there. Anyway work can be found in restaurants etc. Better you have a driving license.
- The difficulty you have adjusting depends to a great degree on the differences between your culture and the culture you are visiting. If you are from the US, life in England shouldn't be too difficult to adjust to. I'm from the US and have been living in Japan for 20 years. That was/is a difficult adjustment, although obviously one I've dealt with.
