USA or another country? and why?

- hopefully, and somewhere near the ocean, mild climate
- i'd be grateful if i'll be able to retire.....
- i had planned to and the my hurricane insurance went up $300 qa month so i can't but when i do , we will live 6 months in the USA and 6 months in Cananda
- Yes, Akron Ohio....
- I will live in Brasil...everything I make financially will be doubled and the cost of living is a quarter of what it is in the USA...of course there are things that are equally as expensive and somethings that are much more expensive..but those are typically expensive HERE as well and my retirement check will go further down there than it will here... here is the question.....do i retire at 46 and ENJOY the rest of my life??? or stay in the rat race trying to raise the amt of social security I will get ..when social security may not even EXIST??? I am not sure I want to be here when that goes down...that sounds scary ..and in the next 15-20 years from now...I will have earned enough money that living in South America will not be an issue. My retirement would double and would be more than sufficient.. here is the other side of it...I love my family there in Brasil, the weather is AWESOME, I love the language and the people..you aren't really missing the technology from the states...they also have hi speed internet, LCD plasma TVs, you name it..they have it..it may cost a bit more..but it is there.. I feel more like who I am down there than here...I get lost in the rat race here...i don't always feel 100% comfortable or relaxed like I would like to...there...I can always feel that way...
- There is so much to do and learn,so i will only semi-retier and at this present time i live in the southern part of Spain,a really beautiful country. Oops i am semi- retied, well that's what my good friends tell me!!!
