Should Brett Favre retire after this season?
let's not talk about how the packers aren't that good or that he is way past his prime. let's forget about records and stats. have you seen him play the game? i mean, really play the game. he's having so much fun playing football. here's this 40ish looking quarterback who sprints down the field to celebrate with his teammates after a touchdown. he did his first lambeau leap. he's having a blast playing. you know, for once, it looks like an athlete isn't doing it because of the money. he looks so enthusiastic and having so much fun playing with his guys. it gives a better reason to love brett favre.

- you bet.
- he definitely can start one more season but if he doesnt have the will to do it then he wont.
- He should've retired last season. He's washed up..
- yeah i bet he will keep that enthusiasm all the way to the old folk's home
- yes he should. the packers should retire also. go bears.
- hell yes
- Absolutely not unless he decides he has had enough mentally. Physically he still has enough mobility to bet the job done. His arm is still one of the strongest in the league. His team is continually getting better. He looks reguvenated and healthy. I think the changed in coaching did wonders for him. McCarthy had changed the whole identity of the team. Next year I think has got to be temting for him. The team is a year older. The young players will have the extra experience. Plus he will get back some of his recievers. His line will be better by the experience. I think next year they can be pretty good. Which means more fun for him.. He even said today that when they lose even though it sucks it is still fun because the players they have now never quit and still give it their all. Physically I think in this system he could play till he is 40. But the pack need to keep improving and keep it interesting and fun for Brett and everyone else...
- No. I don't think he should retire. I think he is doing a great job. I think he should play until he breaks the interception record. Of course, I'm a Bears fan and HATE the Packers. Seriously, I do respect Brett Favre and wish him all the best. But, I do HATE the Packers so.
- Naaa Id say he has one left in him
- as long as he can take a hit and get up to play the next down he should keep going. love to watch the old man tear up defenses.
- No, if guy feels as though he can still play, let'em. Fans, media, critics, owners and coaches shouldn't influence whether a player retires or not. He should leave on his on terms. And if Green Bay doesn't want him, I guarantee somebody will. Favre has plenty of fuel left in the tank. I'm a Panthers fan but man, that guy can still play. Play on Favre...play on.
- Yes
