When Brett Favre retires, do you think that the number four jersey should be retired for all NFL teams?
I'm not saying forever... Maybe just a few years as a mark of respect to a remarkable career...

- No ... maybe the Green Bay Packers will choose to retire his jersey .. no one else cares.
- his career was no better than rice ,montana,elway,....or numerous players.hell no....he was good but he didnt change the game.green bay should retire it ,thats it.
- excuse me but there has been way better and more beloved players in the nfl that have never received that so why should favre. dont get me wrong hes good and i like him but come on be realistic why should other teams want to honor him in such way when they have their own legends that have not received such an honor.
- No. He only played for Green Bay. He was good but I think retiring it for all teams is just asking too much. Come to think of it I can't even recall any other NFL quarterback using the number 4 anyway.
- No, just Green Bay.
- no doubt that the man was great but they didnt retire jerry rice's or barry sander's or dan marino's.
- Retired with the Packers for sure. The rest of the league? Get real, no other team will do that. It has never happened and it never will.
- Our team's kicker has contributed to more championships than Favre has. You may have heard of him. His name is Adam Vinatieri. Why should he change his number just because your quarterback retired? Favre has been an excellent quarterback and should be a unanimous first ballot hall of famer. That's enough of a mark of respect from the league. Maybe you guys can put up something like the Chairman Mao Mausoleum at the gates to Lambeau with a number 4 jersey lying in repose while you reverently file past it for all time. ;)
- Hell no !! maybe in green bay but he doesn't deserve that treatment. there were a lot better and they didn't get that so there is no way should brett get that treatment
- the packers will retire his jersey but no other team gives a shit. he was a good player no amazing in his prme but hes much older now. hes havin mediocre seasons now wat with the interceptions and low completion %. the packers wil def retire it but no one else
- HAHAHA only in YOUR dreams. Not even he would have a dream that stupid. Montana didn't have that. Marino didn't get that. Young didn't get it. Elway didn't get it. Now I don't like Elway and think he was overrated but just going by QBs that could have earned that and DIDN'T. Farve ISN'T on that level. Playing that many games doesn't make you great TO ME. That is the biggest thing people really give him. He played so many games.
- no.
- No, only in Green Bay.
- Absolutely not.....many players have had great careers...Elway, Unitas, Walter Peyton, Emmit Smith, Joe Namath, Joe Montana, etc..... Number retirements are personal for teams....not the league.....he did not set a precedent in any way compared to other NFL greats...
- lol-you would have no numbers left because most teams have had a quarterback or two with remarkable careers. Only Green Bay should retire the number.
- No.........that's a bad sports question.
- no, did he break the color barrier in football, or did he introduce the QB position in the league, give me a break packer fan
- Maybe the NFL should retire every single player who doesn't even crack the top-five all-time of their respective position just as long as they sport a salt and pepper haircut, become an alcoholic, get addicted to pain pills and put themself well ahead of their entire team.
- no....let the pack retire it.
- No, just in Green Bay. Teams do not retire #'s of players from other teams. I am a diehard Packer fan needless to say and will hate for that day to come. Hopefully he goes out leading to the Packers atleast to the playoffs. GO PACk!!
- Right on stingspray. I don't think they should even retire his number in Green Bay. Selfish jerk.
- Of course not. What a dumb question. I love Favre but c'mon. It's not like he cured cancer. The Packers will and that's it.
- no. but it should for the packers.
- Not for all the NFL teams...maybe just the packers, why would the rest of the NFL retire his # if he didnt play for them?.......Yes he had a remarkable career but he had it for the packers.
- No. Plain and simple.. NO.
- Only Green Bay
- NO
