retirement oz

When is Brett Favre going to retire?

Lots of rumors out there; does anyone have a credible source to cite? Yes, DaClint, I heard the same thing on FoxSports Chicago. Then on Mike and Mike in the morning on espn2 and espn radio they said it also. Now on ESPNews the opposite is bieng reported. Too many conflicting reports; it is imperative to the NFC what Favre does/does not do.

Public Comments

  1. Next year after the 06-07 season. Unless he gets a season ending injury, then it could be earlier. But it's Brett Farve we're talking about, so season ending injuries can't be applied to him.
  2. I thought he already did.
  3. Brett will retire when he feels he can't meet his standards of competition. Maybe this year if he gets a nagging injury or spends a game on the bench or even if he doesn't have a top notch season. He can still throw the ball down the field now he needs someone to catch it.
  4. NEVER. Maybe when they outlaw wheelchairs on the football field... He's old, he's broken, he's got NO game. He should have retired a couple years ago.
  5. after all the uncertainty about playing this year, it will definitely be his last.
  6. He was supposed to retire after the 2006 season, but according to Fox News Chicago, they said they received reports from ESPN that Favre had retired. But I went to ESPN and checked other websites and found nothing. In fact, I kept seeing stuff about how Favre will have a better 2006 and how he says his Linemen will grow over time.
  7. Not credible, however, I bet it will be one or two seasons AFTER he should have.
  8. Farve will retire when 1) he gets traded 2) his knees go out 3) his arm goes out 4) his wife insists 5) he's playing his grandsons.
