- I have a bank account in my home country and use an ATM card to withdraw funds when I need it. Also you could check to see if your Bank will set up some automatic tranfer of funds overseas on a regular basis. You would need to check for a bank which will offer online banking and either no fee or small fee for ATM use and low transfer fees, no matter which way you go your going to have to pay some fees. These are just a few ways to transfer your funds from overseas. Good Luck.
- I have a bank acct in USA and mostly withdraw through an ATM - - there was a recent crisis of getting lower rates for "offshore" money but fortunately I have been salting away money here and was able to rely on my Thai bank account, but things are back to normal w/ATM and I am back to using that - - keep your eyes open and have some flexibility..
- beside atm card u can use credit cards visa n master.
- Do a wire transfer from your UK bank to your Thailand bank. You are only allowed a saving account here in Thailand.
- You might be able to use xoom.com. Check out their website.
