- as long as you are retired, you will get your check mailed to whatever planet you might be living on..
- As long as you have Direct Deposit you're OK. I went in at 17 and I'm over 60 now. Back when I went in we thought man would be living on Mars by now. See how far that went. All NASA has done in the past 30 years is orbit the earth and collect a pay check.
- Ha Ha Na man you not crazy! should you be able to do 20yrs and get a check well that check along with your ID card will be good for life. I am ret going on 8yrs and I plan on getting paid for a very long time, I was 40 when I started drawing my checks so I plan on doing some long term stealing from the govt(navy) I read where the longest current living retiree has be getting $$$ for 50yrs and that was a couple years ago. So as long as nothing real bizarre happens I hope some day that you be answering a question like this.
- I get paid to breath now. It is might nice. As long as you breath you will draw a paycheck.
- You draw your retired check until you draw your last breath. But, as of 1991, here's the kicker. Your retirement check counts as outside income when you start drawing Social Security. In my case, 85% of my Social Security check is considered to be taxable income. You can thank a Navy veteran for that change in the law. He ran for President a few years ago: John Forbes Kerry of Massacusetts.
- I will be collecting my Navy retirement check for the rest of my life. If i get to where my Great-grandparents lived to (101-111) then I could actually collect retirement pay for more than SEVENTY YEARS!
