How can I find a great job after a military retirement?
I retired from active duty (EOD US Navy) one year ago. I'm having a heck of a time finding a new career/employment opportunity.

- go to militaryjobs.com they have a resource for finding jobs after you get out.
- I would check with the VA to see if they have any programs that might help. Also, most states have some type of job service organization that may be able to help you. What kind of career are you interested in? How have you gone after it? Have you considered going back to school or some other training to suit your new goals? Connect with you local community and the military community and see what resources are available. Churches, social services offices, Web-sites of local businesses, personal contacts - there are a lot of options. Keep looking & Good Luck!
- Trainer, coach, CPR, open ur own gym, I wish I had ur training, leaders are needed everywhere... but I think the best way to choose the career is to make a list of 20 things you would do even you wouldnt be paid, then turn it in something profitable, don´t worry to fail, I promise u will. but you are adaptable so after taking the best from mistakes, you will reach your goal. Take your time and have fun, the life is only one!
