Do you think the new president should bring back early retirement for military members???

I am asking this because some of the candidates are looking to end this war on terror. so what about all the extra people who joined just to help fight. I mean is it worth it for them to fight this hell of a war, and then get out without so much of any benefits?

1. No. We need more soldiers as is. Why retire those that have not served 20 years?
2. No. Recruitment is down as it is from liberals attempting to brainwash their children into thinking soldiers are evil, or doomed to death.

7. twenty years of service is life enough for anyone. but is it worth dying for?
8. Yes! They work hard, they deserve a little break. People might say that we don't have enough military members right now... which is true. But, most military members only do 4 years, if there was an incentive to do 10 years and retire at partial benefits, I'm sure more would do the extra 6 years!

I say no, while some have a strong point saying that it would serve as incentive for person's who would only serve four ( average service time today is six) years to stay until they reach 10 however it is my belief that person's serving a four or six year tour are getting out and leavig a void, that void is rapidly filled by new service members encouraging someone to stay just a couple more years for a retirement in my opinion would degrade the current high numbers of very motivated and effective junior combat leaders i.e. corporal's and sgt's thus degrading the overall efficiency and effectivness of our combat force. let's keep in mind that our military has shifted from a mass numbers mentality to a smaller more efficient and effective force
10. Early retirement is for when an organization is down sizing. The US Army is increasing (finally) its troop levels.
11. NOOOOOOO!!!!!! We need all the experience that we can get. And I don't know what the Air Force or anyone else is thinking about drawing down. We need a bigger military. The fools that did this to our military should be brought up on charges of high treason.
