Career military retired are being ripped off with having courts give half their retirement pay to ex spouse?
Once declared unconstitutional, the liberal womens movement slipped it into a bill in congress a few years back. Most active duty, general to private, male or female do not know this new law exists. Beware. Inform all military personal of this. Best not to marry until after retirement. Just "shack up."

- Don't even get me started on this one...Congress just gave them self a nice little pay hick and the military is treated like shit.....Our country is in a lot of trouble when we put peole in office and the bottom line is for themself.. < make sure your congresmen or women knows that you can make noise......Change is needed...
- Doesnt it depend on how long you were married to the person. I dont think they get the full thing if you were married only a couple of years. Otherwise I think this is a great law. Your spouse is with you through deployments and a bunch of moves from base to base. I will happily give my husband half if we ever divorce, he has been through me deploying 3 times, stayed back with the house and family. He also has trouble keeping a job because we move every couple of years...he deserves it.
- you do have to be married for so long to get half of it all. however u do get half of what was put in while u were married from the get go. this came up in my divorce. i myself just asked him to pay me off. i was starting a new life he gave me some money streight up and i didnt take half.i got way less he kept his retirement.
