  1. When I went to a baby shower receatly, they had some games. One where the had diapers with different types of chocolate, and you had to guess the type(like pepermint patty and stuff) also they had jars of baby food, with the labels taken off anf everyone had to taste them and guess what vegetable or fruit. then the wrote eachone dow(they were numbered) and the person who guessed the most right won a prize. Everyone thought the games were cute. hope this helps, bye.
  2. Theres always the clothes pin game, where everyone gets one and if they get caught saying the word "baby," the person that caught them gets their clothes pins, and whoever has the most at the end of the shower wins. Another classic is cutting off yarn to guess how much it takes to get around the mothers belly. My favorite is the game where you melt different types of candy bars in diapers, and then pass them around; whoever guesses the most right wins!
  3. Hmmm, let's see if I can remember any. One game was called "guess the baby food flavor" where the hostess had numbered jars of baby food with the labels peeled off (she had a list of numbers and corresponding flavors). Guests had to taste the baby food and try to figure out the flavor, such as peas and carrots or turkey casserole. Another game involved a race to see who could be the first to diaper the baby doll properly while blindfolded. That's all I can think of for now.
  4. Everyone gets a "diaper" (put those tiny gold safety pins on some folded material - LITTLE pieces) - open them up, and whoever has the "poopy diaper" (with a raisin) WINS!!! Get a glass jar with a small opening - give participant 10 clothes pins (or something similar) - have them stand straight up - whomever drops the most pins INTO the jar wins. Make up a list of baby items (not easy ones) - bassinet, onsies, thermometer, etc. - scramble the letters; give players a set time (depending on the # of words you have) - whomever unscrambles the most wins.
  5. Memory You place a bunch of things (baby theme) on a serving platter and pass it around. Take the tray and cover it with a cloth. You then have everyone to write down what was on the tray. The person that gets the most items right wins a prize.
  6. Ok uhm this might seem rly gross but i played this game at a shower once...go here to see it:: http://www.partygamecentral.com/pgcstandard/gametmpstd.asp?gn=CANDY+BAR+SURPRISE For more ideas these seem ok:: http://www.partygamecentral.com/pgcstandard/gametmpstd.asp?gn=CANDY+BAR+SURPRISE
  7. There's a great website that mostly sells wedding and baby shower favors but they also have sections on their site about baby shower ideas, etiquette, etc. The site is Beau-Coup.com. The theme and idea link is here: http://www.beau-coup.com/baby-shower-etiquette-and-themes.htm
  8. One game: The object of this is to see who can transfer the most cotton balls from one container (something flat or similar), to the another (such as a bowl) with a spatula, plastic sand shovel or something similar while blindfolded under a time limit - say one minute, using only the hand with the shovel. The cotton balls are light so you can't tell how many you have or if you are getting any on the shovel. The person with the most gets a prize.
  9. A game we played at a shower I threw for my roommate. I had all the guests sit in a circle and placed seven or eight wrapped gifts in the middle. I had two sets of dice in two different platters with one set going clock wise and the other going counter clockwise. Everyone gets one roll then they pass the platter, any time someone rolled a double six they were able to pick a gift from the pile or a gift that someone had chosen (if they pick a chosen gift, the person they picked from is not allowed to pick again until they roll another double six). Gift must not be opened until the game is over. The game is timed, say 10 minutes or so, so they game moves alot quicker as you tell them how much time is left. You make it really funny at the end if the prettiest wrapped gift (that everyone will want to fight over) turns out to be a roll of toilet paper or something goofy like that. It was a hit at our shower. Keep in mind that some people will end up with more than one gift and some with non, it just depends on how many times a person can roll a double six and keep the gifts they've picked without someone snatching them. Have fun
