- Your local store with a bakery or actual bakery has a big book of cakes. I would suggest since it is his first that you get 2 cakes one for everyone to enjoy and a small one for the lil slugger to destroy.
- http://shop.pattycakes.com/Items/96474.htm this website shows a Mets baseball cake, but I'm sure you can find any team you want.
- If your wife is baking the cake herself, you can buy those little characters made out of plastic from a supply store or toy store, but make sure they are pure plastic and not painted. I have seen mediem sized sport theme dolls in the big box stores as well.
- In case your wife is not very creative or an experienced cake decorator but still wants to make her own cake, nothing could be eaiser than a simple baseball. All she will need is regular round cake pan, white frosting and a tube of red writing icing or gel to make the stitches. If not, I'd suggest she orders something from a bakery or supermarket.
- Find little baseball ornaments and write his name on tone of the ornament asif he was part of the team.
- This site has 2 versions of a baseball cap. http://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com/sports_cake.html The people who make these cakes, tell you how they did them.
- Go to this website and do a search of the cakes. You have thousands to look at and there is a section for sports themed cakes. You'll find exactly what you want. www.cakecentral.com
- Hello you should probably make a vanilla cake 3 cherries on top with caramel and chocolate syrup shaped like a hearth and one of my moms Cherries Flambe try imagining what would you like in a cake also go to goggle and go to cake recipies
- Hi Steven, I just sent an email to Kara. I am a mother of 4 children and love making cakes. I found some cute ideas for her and have sent them on, I also listed the web sites that have ideas for themed parties. Have a great party for your little one - I like the theme "lil sluggers" - it's very cute. Kind regards Mel G. (Sydney Australia)
- shape a round cake like a baseball, you can substitute the writing "happy birthday" in red for the stitches...
- You can find everything from decorations to kid birthday cake ideas by visiting http://fun-kid-birthday-parties.com/first-birthday-party-ideas.html There are wonderful edible cake toppers that look like batter helmets and there is even a cake shaped like a baseball cap. You'll find more cakes at http://fun-kid-birthday-cakes.com Have fun
- you could have your wife go to a craft store like Michael's and get a cake pan of a ball or a bat and then to small cupcakes and decorate them like baseballs that way your child can have is very own cupcake to mess with
