Business Ideas! Would appreciate suggestions very much!?

I'm interested in others ideas for businesses I can start. I'm a single mother, have a chronic health condition which sometimes brings uncertainty whether or not I will be able to get out of the house or function well for a few days to a week or so but still able to use computer, phone, etc. I have thought about franchises but just not sure about these. I have also thought about turning real estate property but not real experienced as well as other things such as selling on the internet, running a service type business and hiring the help, etc. etc. I'm really at a point of needing others opinions and ideas and would very much appreciate your time with sharing yours with me. Thanks! K.W.

  1. A franchise may be too demanding for you, given that it is not a business where you can opt to just relax for a few days to recover (afterall you're paying a franchise royalty fee every month). You mentioned that you can use computer and phone when your chronic health condition bothers you. One perfect business for you would be a virtual call center Many call center companies are now using home-based agents. As a virtual call center agent, your job is to take incoming calls that will be directed to you and handle requests or close sales. You will be required to put in a minimum number of hours per week, which can be as low as 15 to 20 hours; though you can opt to work as much as 60 hours a week. Companies differ in how they pay -- some pay based on the number of calls you take while others pay by the hour. The pay range is around $7 to $30 per hour depending on the project, though that can increase if the company offers commissions for sales you have closed. So if you work 20 hours a week at $10/hour, then you can take home $200 per week. Not bad for staying at home. Here are some companies that work with home-based agents: - VIPDesk.com http://www.vipdesk.com = will ask you to shoulder the required credit and background checking fees. - Working Solutions http://www.workingsol.com/ = no fees required but considers their agents as independent contractors, thus requiring applicants to be self employed - Alpine Access http://www.alpineaccess.com = no fees and you will be considered as an employee, not as an independent contractor - LiveOps http://www.liveops.com/ = considers agents as independent contractors; no upfront fee but requires applicants to pay for the background check - WillowCSN http://www.willowcsn.com/ = requires their agents
  2. What about a home business? We have a simple system (though it is work) that is already in place. All you have to do is follow it and I and many others will assist you as much as you need it. We have a great bunch of people on our team and we all have the same goal, to help people and be successful. Anyways, just a thought!
  3. I agree that a franchise is essentially buying yourself a job. You have to put in long hours and do everything by the company's rules including how many staff you hire, when you can have time off, etc. I would like to tell you about my business which is in the health and wellness industry and perhaps could address your health condition. This product, which comes with medical validation, has totally changed my life. This is something you can do on your computer, through telephone leads and/or face to face. I saw results immediately and my family noticed the improvement right away, so I told a few friends about it and the business grew faster than I ever imagined. Everyone knows people with health issues, and if you can help them, it is so rewarding. Imagine earning an income helping people, I can't imagine a better way to earn a living. This comes with full training and mentoring as well.
