  1. My number one choice is Subic. Great environment. Tall trees fresh air and modern amenities. 2. Clark - for investment and amenities 3. Makati - if you can afford it 4. Los Banos - laidback and fresh aire 5. Tagaytay - great view and coll temperature 6. Baguio - cool temperature and historical 7. Cebu - entrepreneurial atmosphere and productive environment. 8. Davao - big place, huge potential for business and still cheap prices of land, food and entertainment. 9. Palawan - cleanest and growing fast too. Great dive spots and beaches. Nice provincial roads. 10. Bohol - the next big thing island. Excellent roads, cheap prices and huge huge business potential. 9.
  2. got to be cebu hands down.
  3. I suggest you consider checking out AYALA GREENFIELD ESTATES (AGE). Its is a 350-hectare residential and golf develepoment in Calamba. Laguna. Only 35 mins away from Alabang, The properties elevated location (315 meters above sea level at its highest point) provides not only cool mountain air but also three unmatched views. Mt. Makiling, Laguna de Bay & the rugged expanse of Tagaytay Ridge.AGE's 18-hole par 72 all weather golf course by the father of environmental course design, Robert Trent Jones II, is considered one of the Philippines best. If you are interested to know more information on AGE or other AYALA projects please don't hesitate to reply thru here and leave your contact info. I can schedule a van to take us there. Thanks and best regards.. :D
  4. I have to say Dumaguete City. It's near Cebu, Siquijor, Iloilio, etc. Been there, you'll love that place especially if you know somebody from there who'd show you around.
  5. I'd suggest... Baguio City... Tagaytay City...
  6. BOHOL, PHILIPPINES check this out: http://www.bohol.ph/
  7. anywhere but Manila, really. At a retirement age you don't want to deal with the stress of Manila except when traveling abroad!
  8. Depends on what you are looking for . If you want peace and quiet ( which is often hard to find ) Bohol is a good place . If you want night life then Cebu may work for you . Many live near Cebu ( not in the city ) and commute to the city .
  9. You should come a travel to different areas and find an area that fits your needs before picking a place to call home, I have lived North of Cebu City for close to 3 years and love it. You should also join this group which are expats that live here in the Philippines and post the same question. Moving to the Philippines Yahoo Group “Join FREE” http://asia.groups.yahoo.com/group/movingtothephilippines/
  10. Visayas: Cebu, Bohol or Dumagauete Great beaches, relatively cheaper cost of living as against Manila, Cebu has modern medical facilities and doctors who studied in American or UK medical schools (Dumaguete or Bohol is very accessible from Cebu - 2 hours from Bohol via fastcraft or twin hull jet engine boats - 4 hours from Dumaguete), and the entire island are fully covered by mobile network signal(either of the big 2).
