do people choose to retire or do they have to?

i'm in the olathe school district (KS) and i'm wondering do teachers retire cuz they CHOOSE to or do they HAVE to retire, like at a certain age? if so at what age do teachers HAVE to retire? is ther i site i can find that out? thanx

1. Check with your state labour board. In Canada We can get social insurance at 60 at reduced rates old age pension starts at 65..
