- He already said that he was never going to "retire" again. He said he would rather people see that he hasn't made an album in 3 or 4 years and then they would realize that he stopped. I personally think that Jay Z is the heart of this hip hop. Sure you got Kanye, Lil Wayne and TI. Those rappers are cool and all. Hell they the future of the genre. But Jay is like that dude that just belongs in permanant relevence. Like I still see Jay in this position 5 years from now. People like Jay and Diddy are hip hop. Plain and simple. Jay needs to put out one more in my opinion to beak Elvis. After that he can do what he wants. But If I were Jay I would still make music. I would release a single every couple of months or so. Make hit singles again. Get involved in that ringtone market. I would do a American Gangster New York tour like what 50 did. Just go around the 5 bouroughs and do something like Story tellers. Also I would Get involved in movies and stuff. And one of my biggest goals would be to bring the Roc to the top again. Get people like Bleek and Freeway to platinum status. The world is his playground right now. He gonna be here for along time. Even if it aint in music he still gonna be here for a while.
