Retired Citizens: If a company was trying to advertise something to you in what would it catch your eye?
I am doing an advertising campaign and our primary market is retired citizens. Our product is a trip to london. If you were a retired citizen in which types of media (ex. which magazines, billboards, internet sites, buses, etc) would you be attracted to such an offer or any offer in general.

- Retirement magazines like AARP they would also have a website for advertising on. http://www.aarpmagazine.org/
- MAGAZINES OR INTERNET
- I'm planning on retiring soon and I can tell you that I look at classified ads or the ads in the back of magazines pretty frequently for trips / adventure vacations, etc. For best results here, your attempts at tweaking the ad until you get the best performing ad through magazines is going to be slow. i.e. however long it takes the magazines to circulate (monthly / quarterly) and then whatever week or two after that measuring the results by way of increased visits to your website or phone calls, reservations, etc. What I'd recommend is potentially running an ad campaign in Adwords based on some keywords specific to your offer and test various different headlines or sub-headlines. After you get the click thru rate as high as you can, then you'll be ready to start advertising in magazines. Either that or... Get several issues of the magazine you're considering advertising in and see what other advertisers are there month after month. Whichever advertisers are there month after month are either making a positive return on their advertising investment (i.e. their ad is working) or they are just stupid. Good luck. I'd love to go to London... maybe for a visit when I retire! Brian Professionalwebsurfer.com
